2. Power Punch Challenge Day 1: 60 punches, 30 seconds rest. 3 sets. Active rest of march steps between sets.
3. Flexibility Challenge Day 1: 40 side lunges, 30 sec side splits in total. In one go.
4. 30 Days of Cardio Blast Day 3: Level 3, no rest.
5. From Walking to Running Challenge Day 13: 2 minute walk, 3 minute run, 3 sets (15 min): Time: 15:06 , Dist: 1:15 mi , AHR: 152.
6. Arms of Steel Day 20: 30 seconds active rest of march steps between sets and exercises except regular punching (on heavy bag with no rest).
7. Boxing: 10 minutes of heavy bag (punching, kicking, strikes (knee, elbow, palm), back fist combos.
8. YWB: Yin Yoga For Lower Back Tension Release| 30 Days of Yoga
9. 4 mile walk outside. 1:11:47.

❤️PPC: Rating = 9.5. Shockingly enough, I am not doing this challenge on the heavy bag. Although I do all my punching/kicking on bag, I will be not be doing the challenge on the bag so I can really focus on form.
❤️FC: Rating = 9.0. I was smart enough to wear shoes. Neither of these are my favorites. I don’t get very low on either of these.
❤️30DoCB: Rating = 7.5. Not as winded as when I did the other days but ouch on the plank jacks.
❤️FWTRC: Rating = 7.0. Stats were just ok. It didn't feel too bad.
❤️AoS: Rating = 7.5 Push-ups were lame again (4-3-3-2 = 12) I am not really improving. Shoulder taps were OK.
❤️Boxing: Rating = 7.5. This was ok. I was pretty tired.
❤️YWB: Rating = 9.0. I really liked this one.
❤️Walk: Sunny and breezy. Seemed almost fall-ish.

Notes: Back to work today (which was mildly annoying). I was also really tired. A weird night without hockey but I guess I’d better get used to it because there’s not much hockey left.

💖Thank you @JCU @NancyTree @Tileenah @Fremen @Whirly @Anek @Froud @BetaCorvi @TheLibrarian 💖

3. Flexibility Challenge Day 2: 40 side lunges, 35 sec side splits in total. In one go. Rating = 9.0

7. YWA: Center ‐ Day 1 – Show Up
8. 4 mile walk outside. 1:11:42.
❤️FWTRC: Rating = 7.5. Better stats and felt better.
❤️Aos: Rating = 7.0. This was harder than I thought.
❤️YWA: Rating = 7.0. I had to break the downward dogs towards the beginning of the session because my shoulders were tired. I struggled with high lunges. And she talks a lot.
❤️Walk: Cool and breezy because it was after ANOTHER thunderstorm.

Notes: Today was a crappy day for a multitude of reasons. At least the walk/run was decent and our outside walk wasn’t rained out.

❤️FWTRC: Rating = 7.5. This went pretty well.
❤️MMP: Rating = 8.0. Even though I did not enjoy all of the movements, I did enjoy it overall.

1. 10 Jumping Jacks
2. Power Punch Challenge Day 4: 2 minutes punches, non-stop. Rating = 9.5.
3. Flexibility Challenge Day 4: 10 bridges. 3 sets. 30 seconds active rest of march steps. Rating = 9.0

Saturday 06.03.2023
1. 10 Jumping Jacks
2. Boxing: 20 minutes of speedbag/heavy bag (punching, kicking, strikes (knee, elbow, palm), back fist combos.
3. YWB: Gentle Yoga in Bed! | 30 Day Yoga Challenge | Day 24. Rating = 8.0.
4. Power Punch Challenge Day 5: 70 punches, 3 sets. 30 seconds active rest of march steps between sets Rating = 9.5.
5. Flexibility Challenge Day 5: 60 side lunges, 45 second splits. Rating = 9.0
6. From Walking to Running Challenge Day 17: 3 minute walk, 3 minute run. 4 sets. (24 min). Time: 24:02 , Dist: 1.80 mi., AHR: 160.
7. 5 mile walk outside. 1:30:45.
8. Zen Day 3: 12 minute yoga.
❤️Boxing: Rating = 8.0. This was better than last Saturday. I felt a bit winded at the end.
❤️FWTRC: Rating = 5.5. This got really hard. Interval 3 was really hard. I had to take it easy on interval 4.
❤️Walk: Started out misty, ended up sunny. The cool breeze felt nice.
❤️Zen: Rating = 7.0. I struggled with this on and had to modify. I couldn’t really hold the tree pose (even low tree at all). I hold my hands at heart sometimes instead of overhead because my arms (or is it my shoulders get tired) and the high lunge was a real problem, especially on my right side. My balance has really suffered from missing Yoga.

Notes: More rain but we did get out and walk. FWTRC was really rough today. I so regret giving up on my running. Ugh. Ditto for Yoga. My balance has really suffered. At least tonight was game one of the Stanley Cup Finals. The team I was rooting for won. I normally wouldn’t root for that team but I really dislike the other team.

7. From Walking to Running Challenge Day 18: 2 minute walk, 3 minute run. 4 sets. (20 min). Time: 20:03, Dist: 1:54 mi., AHR: 157.
8. 4 mile walk outside. 1:13: 40.

❤️Boxing: Rating = 7.5. This was just ok. My kicks were off.
❤️Zen: Better focus but my back hurt.
❤️FWTRC: Rating = 6.0. Stats were a little better even though there was more running than walking.
❤️Walk: We had to walk after dinner because of the rain. It was cool and humid.

Notes: We rarely have days where it rains all day. Today was one of them. I am usually tired as is on Sundays but the weather made it worse. I needed a brief nap. At least the intervals were better.

You can still get back to running Dawn...when I was a runner (not an option anymore, dang it) the prevailing mantra was "finish line, not finish time", meaning completing the course meant more than how fast I covered it. Still have that one 5K medal I earned before that went completely south. :)

Monday 06.05.2023
1. 10 Jumping Jacks
2. Power Punch Challenge Day 7: 90 punches. 3 sets. 2 minute active rest of march steps between sets. Rating = 9.5.
3. Flexibility Challenge Day 7: 60 side lunges. 55 second side splits in total Rating = 9.0
4. Arms of Steel Day 23: 30 seconds active rest of march steps between sets and exercises. Kept my feet moving during all exercises. Rating = 9.0.
5. Zen Day 5: 6 minute yoga: Rating = 7.5.
6. From Walking to Running Challenge Day 19: 3 minute walk, 3 minute run, 5 sets (30 min): Time: 30:04 , Dist: 2:26 mi , AHR: 156
7. BodyFit By Amy: Mobility Flow 10 Minute Quick Hiit
8. YWA: Yoga For Runners: 7 MIN POST-RUN
9. 4 mile walk outside. 1:09:44.

❤️Zen: Rating = 7.5. Nice poses but I have a hard time holding them for 60 seconds.
❤️FWTRC: Time: 30:04 , Dist: 2:26 mi , AHR: 156 . Rating = 6.0. I spent of most of the run without music because the router crashed. But the intervals were decent.
❤️BBA: Rating = 9.0. I really liked this a cool-down, even if Amy is a little enthusiastic for me. The stupid router crashed about 4 minutes in and I has to wait while Scott brought it back up.
❤️YWA: Rating = 9.0. This is one of my favorites. I had a slight foot cramp during one of the pigeons.
❤️Walk: We had to adjust our route to be closer to home when it looked the storms were rolling in.

Notes: Kind of a yucky day. Too busy at work and sad to see certain people moving in the wrong direction. Ugh. At least my intervals were decent on “the longest day”. For some reason Mondays are my best running days. Oh and the hockey was great.

Thank you for your encouragement @TakingBabyStepsBack. I used to run a few years back. Nothing too serious (my longest distance was 4 miles) but it got my through some tough times and gave me temporary relief from migraines (relieved I don't get those anymore). I got way from it when moved and attempted several times to get back into it. Hopefully this time I will be successful. 💗

Hello 👋

Belated Congratulations on the challenges 👏

I hope your dad is doing better

Catch those clouds and send them here. I love rainstorms, even if the weather is hot (though I would take cold weather if you have any)

As for everything else

1. 10 Jumping Jacks
2. Zen Day 12: 15 minute meditation: Split up 11/5.
3. Power Punch Challenge Day 14: 2 min punches. Non-stop. Rating = 9.5.
4. Flexibility Challenge Day 14: 100 side lunges. 1 min 40 second side splits. Rating = 9.5.
5. Standing Core Workout: No rest. Rating = 7.5.
6. From Walking to Running Challenge Day 26: 1 minute walk, 4 minute run, 3 sets (15 min): Time: 15:05, Dist: 1.20 mi , AHR: 1.58.
7. Arms of Steel Day 27: 30 seconds active rest of march steps between sets and exercises except punching (on heavy bag with no rest).
8. YWB: 15 Min Full Body Stretch For Sore Muscles and Tension Relief
9. 4 mile walk outside. 1:11:54.

❤️Zen: Poor focus for both meditations.
❤️SC: Rating = 7.5. I kept messing up the order of the last 2 exercises. I had to hold on for single leg deadlifts.
❤️FWTRC: Rating = 6.0. Not great stats. Felt hard.
❤️AoS: Rating = 7.0. Push-ups were lame again (4-3-2-3-2 = 14). Shoulder taps were OK. Side plank rotations were torture. I had nothing left in the tank by the time I got to punching.
❤️YWB: Rating = 8.0. Relaxing. I dozed at the end.
❤️Walk: Cool and cloudy.

Notes: So, the best part of today was watching the SCF. The team I was rooting for won the game and the championship. The rest of the day was tough. Work just going to keep getting harder. Mondays are usually the best days for running but not this time. And Arms of Steel was brutal with the plank rotations. Ugh.

❤️Isawelly: Rating = 8.0. This was fine. A lot of glute work.
❤️Walk: After a day rainy and crappy weather, the sun came out for our walk.

Notes: The final hockey game was actually this night and not Monday night. Other than hockey, I had a really bad day. I cried at work (TG I WFH) and failed at my run (how the hell am I going to do the 8WT5K program if I can’t get through 4 minutes 3x?). I felt so defeated on this day.

9. 4 mile walk outside. 1:11:56.

❤️Isawelly: Rating = 7.5. This was ok except for the downward dog-plank sequence.
❤️Walk: We got rained on again. Then it was just muggy.

Notes: Work was better but I failed at the intervals AGAIN! WTF. I went a little bit longer this time but I think I am really in my own head about this now. Planned something different for Thursday.

6. Zen Day 15: 12 minute yoga.
7. 4 mile walk outside. 1:12:48.

❤️BBA: Rating = 7.5. This workout was fun and had a little bit of everything. I am just not coordinated enough to do all of the dance moves.
❤️GWJ: Rating = 8.5. Nice coodown.
❤️Zen: Rating = 8.5. This one wasn't bad.
❤️Walk: We got rained on again. So sick of it.

Notes: It was nice to take a day off from intervals. It would also be nice to take a day off from rain. Bad habits die hard.

❤️Zen: Rating = 8.5. Yogi squat isn't as easy as it once was but I did love ending in child's pose.
❤️Walk: Rating = 8.5. It was actually sunny out! We got stopped by a neighbor to talk about roofs. Their’s is being replaced Monday.

Notes: Typical Saturday but without rain but also without hockey. The carry-in food was really good today.
