    Back to badass

Just finished Hard Reset on monday, so another one in the books :) All in all, I'd say the situation is improving, with some hiccups. I've been doing better at the no yelling challenge, and we made it through my older daughter's first day of school yesterday - complete with having her dad over...

    Back to badass

Thank you so much for your posts, @Mamatigerj , @Tileenah , and @Fremen ! Today is a holiday here, and as my parents took the girls out in their Camper for two nights, I spent the painting the hallway while listening to music. We've been living in this apartment for more than six years, most of...

    Back to badass

Wow, it's been a long long time again, and this will be a short post because it's already late and I still need to meditate before going to bed. I finished Zen on friday, so yay, me ;). I'm on day 20 of Hard Reset Strength. My nice girly blue 2kg dumbbells are probably a little on the light...

    ZEN - Early Release

Love it! This looks doable time-wise, and I can certainly use some yoga and meditation in my life. And for some reason it's so much easier for me to "do a program" than "meditate more". So thank you for this.

    8 weeks to 5K progression

That would be exactly my recommendation. I've done the Half Marathon program in what feels like an earlier life, and as it fit my schedule pretty well, I just kept repeating the two weeks leading up to the 10k. But there are plenty running programs with ideas to either switch things up within...

    Back to badass

Long time without posting, but I have been working out, which is the most important thing. I just finished Unbound and Shadebound. I think I'll redo Power HIIT next. I felt it helped a lot with my posture and was good for the pelvic floor issues, which feel has deteriorated some. Maybe I'll get...

    What are you currently reading?

I'm now on Equal Rites and just finished the magical duel between Granny Weatherwax and the Archchancellor of Unseen University, which is one of the scenes I love (and I know now they will reluctantly embark on an adventure together getting Esk's staff back which has all the ingredients of a...

    What are you currently reading?

I just stumbled upon this, and even though the post is old, I'll have to agree, even though I'm not a translator (which must be the coolest job ever, by the way). When I read a German translation of an English book, I keep back-translating it in my head and it sucks. And if the original is in...

Do you wanna dance! Shake it baby!

Ohhh, and I missed your birthday. Happy belated birthday, @Froud ! :perfect:

    Back to badass

Hello and good morning! I'm going to try to make this quick, as I'm on the train to work and need to get my grocery shopping done before I enter the zone of s***** internet. I finished PowerHIIT last night, and I'm very happy with how that turned out. I have very little time after the kids are...

Do you wanna dance! Shake it baby!

Just living life on the 4th floor without an elevator should give you, say, a 10% discount on any squat work. Just sayin'

Do you wanna dance! Shake it baby!

Totally counts for the streak. I do the same thing. Cycling (even though Munich is not hilly), painting a room, assembling IKEA furniture... all of them, if done intensely/long enough, count as a workout.

    Back to badass

Here comes a very long post detailing the sad history of kiddie-sickness last week. Feel free to skip the first three paragraphs :) Sorry for the long delay. I didn't fall off the waggon, it was more that I had a week from kiddie-sickness hell last week and am still in recovery. Sunday night...

I think the commercials were for cake mix. A very happy large family eating cake from cake mix in a sunny garden. Okay, mind officially blown. Yes! I can take or leave the bacon, there can be pickled cucumbers or no pickled cucumbers, or even fresh ones, or my mom has a good recipe with...

The thigh is much better still, but I didn't have much time tonight, so I only did MUTU System Core 2 Power HIIT day 8 No yelling day 8 And hoping to get back to flexibility tomorrow.

The Obstkuchen memory sounds lovely! Zupfkuchen I honestly mostly know from Dr. Oetker commercials during my long-ago youth. I'm not even sure I ever tried it. But it's funny about the "Russian" and then a Russian person (I assume) hasn't heard about it. On the other hand, it's a big country. I...

@lpf and @lofivelcro yes, I'm sure it's completely normal. I love how serious her little face gets when she's doing her thing, and I am convinced that this is how they learn about the world - by interacting with it on their terms as much as possible. Usually I can see it that way, just sometimes...

Oh, totally. Or when their attention span is a little longer and they can help - I love baking with my kids, but so far we do uncomplicated stuff like Christmas cookies and sometimes raisin buns for breakfast on weekends. But we'll have to up the ante at some point

    Back to badass

Okay, another sunday in the books. The day was good, towards evening I go stressed because I'm worried about getting everybody where they need to be on time tomorrow. Due to sickness and vacation, I haven't done the monday morning for weeks (usually, on the other days, I work from home, but on...

Oookay. Yeah, that seems like just slightly more time and effort than I can afford at this point. But I'll keep it in mind. And my respect for your baking skills just increased by a lot. :worship: Oh, and the description totally made sense!
