Thank you Maega, thank you MamaT, and for the likers!

Still somewhat under the weather.

I did a long run on Sunday - 10.48km - in preparation for my 10k race this Sunday.

I've done Exercise of the Day today and I'm working through Totals Day 23 in my work breaks.

On we go. x

Newport 10k

49:54!

I'm very pleased with that. I was 37th over-50s man out of 119 and about half-way through the whole field.

It was a lovely day. Newport is a nice, flat course with plenty of room for all the runners and even a circuit round a stadium with a lovely, proper running track.

That was quite hard work though and I need to rest now.

Tomorrow I hope to get back onto my Training Plan.

Thank you, Bees. x IMG_20250413_110215.jpg

Thank you Louve Rose!

Yesterday was combat day and I went back to my muay thai workout. Good and tough. And I did three yoga videos. The Kino strength/L-sit one, a vinyassa from Nico Marie, and another one I can't remember!

Today, I did 5.82km run, untimed, with 94 metres vertical. And I'll do some sort of yoga later.

A slight struggle today to keep active and engaged with work.

I had an ADHD coaching session yesterday and found it interesting and useful, so I'm going to sign up for a series.

I've walked early in the morning for the past couple of days and that's been a nice way to start the day.

Thank you Bees. Much love.

On we go!

Thank you Nancy!

Running day yesterday. I did 5.82km, untimed, with 94metres climb/descent.

And some yoga. The strength building one for l-sit, and a couple from a new channel I found looking for hamstring release:

HIIT day today.

On we go!

Hey.

No reason for my silence. I'm doing OK. Ups and downs as ever. That's life I suppose.

I'm doing pretty well generally. The main thing is that my running has been pretty consistent.

Hope to start properly checking in for a spell over the next couple of days.

Love you all Bees. x

I've been doing OK.

I started the Recomp Challenge, which is pitched at just the right level for me at the moment, so that's lucky!

Today: EoD, Recomp Day 5, run (about 6k I think, untimed), football/soccer this evening.

I do workouts to the Fighter Plan when I can, and I'm continuing with the Kino Yoga strength (short ones).

I could do more, I'm sure, and some days I do. I feel quite relaxed about things and pretty good. I'm walking and running a lot above all.

I've been seeing a lot of content about Heart Rate Training with running and that's of interest to me. I don't have the gear to do it in a serious way, but it makes me feel better about the way I run, and to value my improvements in the distances I go.

I have some ADHD coaching tomorrow. And a singing lesson. I went to the cricket yesterday, which I'm happy to do into exhaustive and confusing detail about if it's something you find a charming British diversion! (It was a lovely day, very sunny.)

Good wishes to all. x

Oh, Dawn, will be pleased to hear Leeds United did win their championship!

Thank you to everyone for the birthday/sobriety wishes!

You are all very kind. I'm sorry I wasn't here at the time.

I continue to do OK, with the usual ups and downs.

Last Wednesday I did a sort of reset with a 60-day challenge to try to keep my Fighter Training Programme going and also to do two challenges and two programmes.

I restarted the Recomp Challenge from last month. It's pitched at just the right level for me right now.

And I started doing 2-minute abs.

I have another 10k race on July 6th, so I'm trying to keep my running up for that. I'll be happy if I do around 50 minutes again.

I did a 13-mile walk for a dementia charity with a friend.

My partner has been away for a long trip and came back last week, so we've done a lot of walking (pictures to follow) and I've done my first swimming of the year in the sea and a lovely mountain river.

Oh yes, and I've been trying to keep up yoga too. I'm relatively injury free at the moment so that's nice.

Thank you everyone. On we go. x

Thank you, thank you!

We went through a little spell of watching Agatha Christie TV adaptations earlier this year PSW. Some of them are psychotically nasty!

The pictures are in the Brecons. A lovely place to visit if you find yourself in Wales.

I'm going along pretty well and have kept to my plan.

Yesterday:

Recomp Day 9: Burpees!
2-minute abs Day 9: crunch variants.
Fighter HIIT day - a Fitness KayKay Boxing Hiit video.
Exercise of the Day. Was it the get ups...? Anyway, I did it.

And we walked up a hill.

Strength day today.

Wishing you all well. Thank you!

Hey everyone.

I hope you are all doing well.

Just popping back in to try to keep in touch.

I've sort of continued as I was. I'm now a regular exerciser. But I think not a disciplined one!

Is that right?

I do exercise regularly now. It is a habit I have. But I don't follow and finish programmes well.

That's what I mean.

So, at the moment, I'm bobbing along in my usual way: I do the Fighter training plan as and when I can. And I'm going along the RECOMP challenge and restarting it when I need to. And doing 2-minute abs as well.

I run three times a week. I'm swimming pretty regularly too. I play football generally once a week and cycle and walk as transport.

Currently on day 2 of RECOMP and Abs.

I did a 13.5km run. I'm building up to a 10k in September then my first 1/2 marathon in October.

I'm doing OK. We all have struggles. I'm navigating thinking of myself as neurodivergent.

I'm sure I'll get there.

I'm very glad to be posting here again.

Take care my lovely friends and see you soon.

On we go.

Another 10k. This one in Porthcawl, a seaside town not too far away. I did it in 50:04. That 4 seconds is very annoying, but it was the first time I'd done this course, which was quite narrow and crowded in places and had more hills than I expected.

I'd kind of like to do my September one in 45, but that seems a lot, and I'm not motivated enough to do the specialist training needed to do that.

Aw, thank you everyone.

Still going along OK.

I've got a flare up of a shoulder injury at the moment - push-ups and burpees I think - so I'm just walking, running, swimming and football at the moment.

I did my longest ever run the other day - 15.77km - as I build up towards 1/2 marathon length.

I might try to find some yoga that might help.

Thank you again for all the support. x

On we go!
