Hello and welcome!

If you are just starting out and have a previous injury, you probably don't need those dumbbells just yet! I would suggest you begin with something that you can do consistantly for the next month. Start with building the habit to do something each day.

Maybe the Foundation Program suits you? Programs are a nice way to cut out the daily decision making (Am I going to exercise today? Which workout am I going to do?) and get started right away.

If that doesn't suit you, you can always come back here for more advice or try out different things on your own.

Like @Dyneti I'd suggest you start with Foundation or maybe even 30 days of LIIT (if you want some timers to help you frame your workout), it's a great way to dip your toes into regular exercise. If it feels to hard, do only 3 sets, or go to Foundaltion Light. If it feels too easy, complete it with 7 reps and next try a level, 3 workout. It is a habit worth taking! Also, maybe start a check in thread, it is a good motivator.
Welcome to the hive, and have fun improving yourself!

"Motivation is temporary. Discipline is forever."
Sounds like you've already started.
As well as the programme suggested above, you could start simply by going for a walk. It's free, requires only a pair of comfy shoes, improve your cardiovascular fitness and your mood, and helps you get into the habit of moving more, which is really what it sounds like you're aiming to do.
Oh, and post a thread so you can tell us how you're progressing and we can cheer you on.
