Dear people, thanks for all the congrats, much appreciated!

Lately I’m not that well, mentally. I’m struggling with some issues at work, at home we’re having some trouble and I’m quite depressed. I used to suffer from months long periods of depression. They had vanished for ten, maybe fifteen year, but this feels like old times. No fun. I’ve stopped running, always a bad sign. I know it’ll blow over, but it takes time.

A thousand and a few days ago we went into lockdown, at the start of the COVID pandemic. I started exercising every day with my little family. My wife still works out regularly, like she has done all her life. My son does not like daily exercise, but this summer he joined a track and field club nearby and really enjoys it. He’s quite a runner and he loves all the throwing disciplines.

I managed to keep up my streak of daily exercise, through some pesky injuries and occasional bouts of head colds and tummy aches. I strongly believe it has helped me to stay relatively healthy. At least I didn’t get any COVID. A lot of the people around me did, most of them recovered, sometimes fast, often slower than anticipate.

A few days (weeks?) ago I mentioned being sucked into a depression. I’m having quite a lot of bad days, but today was a rather good one. My cat Ramsay visited the vet (he’s injured - again) and he won her over with his smooth talk (as soon as you say something to him, he goes mrrrrrowww) and sweet nature (he kicks cat’s butts, but he’s great with people). He’s healing well. I went home feeling light and happy.

I’d like to thank you all for the likes, the congrats, the hugs, your stories, inspiring logs, advise, music, recipes, photo’s, snowballs and good vibes. You’re great people to have around.
