@JCU thanks! Yes they are. Today I cleaned my aquarium, and needed to put the filter somewhere, thus I used a small bucket. But the water drains out of it a bit, and of course Pico loved that. She was playing in the water (read: feeling and then shaking the water off her paw because yes it is water. Next time it was still water. Next time also.) and everything was wet. The table, the floor, her dry food tower...

I went out for dinner with family. After coming home I'm too tired to do my Darebee workouts, so skipped for the day

Sunday October 23rd
Slept badly, was really tired and wanted to do nothing at all. Got myself out for a hike though, got some groceries and did some laundry. I granted myself a nap afterwards. In the evening went to the movies with a friend.

Wednesday October 26th
I was busy all morning preparing for my birthday party. Baking, cleaning, spacemaking, groceryshopping. I didn't invite many people, but I'm always afraid I won't have enough food/drinks or not enough choices.
My run was lovely, except that I twisted my ankle badly TWICE. :sadness: Because of the fallen leaves I couldn't see the roots... The first time hurt, but after a few steps it was okay again, though I felt the tendons on top of my foot/ankle. The second time felt really bad, I was afraid I broke something in my foot or ankle or both.. So all worst case scenarios went through my head. But luckily also that subsided mostly. Tonight I even forgot about it, until now when going to bed, so maybe it was just the distraction that made me forget. Best birthday gift ever: getting away fine after such bad events..
Besides that: the cake was good, it was nice to have my friends over and I got lovely presents.

Almond-hazelnut pie
I didn't use the hazelnut flour, because I couldn't find it. But I think it will be really good with it, especially with the chocolate cream.
I'm not sure if everything is translated well, so if anything sounds weird just ask what I mean :happy:

Ingredients
4 eggs
100 g sugar
50 g almond flour
50 g hazelnut flour
55 g flour
50 g slivered almonds

Filling
100 g chocolate
13 g butter
300 ml cream
I added a bag of cream stiffener (=8 g)

Recipe
Heat the oven at 190°C (I baked it at 170°C, because I used a bigger springform pan). Beat the eggs with the sugar 10 minutes, or until it’s light yellow and as a ‘ribbon’ dripping off the whisk. Scoup the almond and hazelnut flour through the beaten eggs, followed by the flour. Split the batter in two springform pans of Ø18 cm. I didn’t have 2 springform pans, so used only 1 of Ø24 cm, but cutting it in two is almost impossible (it tore the topping apart), so I’d recommend using 2 forms.

Sprinkle the slivered almonds over 1 of the pies and bake them both 15-20 min, or until they are ‘springy’. Let them cool down for 5 minutes, then take them out of the form and let them cool down totally on a baking grille (I have just let it cool down in the springform pan, that went fine).

Filling
Melt the chocolate with the butter. Whip the cream until stiff (I use a cream stiffener, and add that while whipping the cream) and scoup the melted chocolate through it. Put the filling on the pie without the slivered almonds, then put the other pie on top of it. Put it in the fridge for one hour.

I took cake to work. Came home late, ate some more cake with my neighbors. I had a short night sleep, which made me too tired to get up from the couch to go to bed, so it got 11.30 pm before goung to sleep...

My sister in law gave me a little birthday party with board games and snacks. She gave me an awesome thermos mug in the form of a camera lens :dance:
I wanted to start foundation today, because it feels like I should, but it makes more sense to do the other 1* programs first.
