@JCU Pico didn't want them either, she just didn't seem to understand what it was ( real food). The same with a chick.
@Montserrat @Nanna Io yes they are 🤣
@CODawn Thank you :thanks:

@Anek @TopNotch @Fremen @Silent Wolf @Lady Celerity @Whirly @Montserrat @JCU @CODawn thanks! :tu:

Saturday December 3rd
Slow day. I am very aware of how short the days are...
Pico also didn't like today's advent calendar candy, chicken with cheese. I think it was the structure, it was hard to chew on, so she swallowed a few whole. She licked one I hold, but still wasn't very enthousiastic. I gave her one of her favorite treats instead 😅 maybe I should make an advent calendar for her myself next year
▪️  Walk 1.65 km. Warming up (much needed..)
▪️  Run 5-28-5 min, 2 min rest. Cold! 1°C, with a chill wind. It went well. Just 1 more week and I'll be able to run 30 min in 1 go 😁 and then I can restart Zombies Run!
▪️  Basics Vitality, day 1, lvl 1+, 30 sec rest
▪️  Program Zero Hero, day 21, lvl 1. I doubted if I should do this one today, because the high knees would be a bit much in addition to today's run, but tomorrow I want to go for a longer hike so that's not very convenient either. So chose to do it today anyway, because the 120 high knees wouldn't be that much more than wamhat I already ran. Hopefully my achilles agrees.
▪️ Advent calendar day 3. EoD: 30 crunch kicks
▪️Challenge Flex hang, day 4. 10 sec
▪️ Challenge Easy abs, day 30, 100 air bike crunches with 2x2 kg ankle weights
▪️ Challenge Easy core, day 30, 100 side bends
▪️ Challenge Easy cardio, day 30, 120 step jacks
▪️Challenge De-stress, day 4
▪️Deadhang 2x10 sec

Steps today: 12859

Sunday December 4th
I had a lovely relaxt Sunday. Started with reading my book with a kitty on my chest 🥰. Then went for a hike (which was cold, just like yesterday), and when coming home I had left over pumpkin soup and I made delicious hot chocolate with mini marshmellows!
And.. I feel a bit of an idiot :chuckle: but I think I used my blanket the wrong way for ever. I don't know why, but I started to think about it while changing the sheets and getting the feeling something was not right. I have a lits jemeaux, and used it the same way as I used my small blanket: the longest part from head to toe. But searching the internet and looking at the measuring tables it looks like it should be used as the shortest part from head to toe. I laid the sheets over it, ans that one was also longest in the width... don't ask me why it always seemed to fit in the sheets.
Anyone able to shine a light on the right way? Google seems to think you should know how to use it, so it doesn't give me answers.

Pictures

I found out I hadn't looked at the pictures from last Wednesday's hike.

From today's hike

And my hot chocolate, which doesn't look big from this angle (I wanted to show the marshmallows mainly), but it's 400 ml.

I've always put blankets on the way they match the bed. So short and long sides match. Any other way only makes sense to me if it's for decoration purposes only.

The pictures are as stunning as always! And that hot chocolate looks yummy!

That's a lovely chocolate!
I always put the blankets with the head to toe long side. Threat way it fits the bed. I always think of it as if it was a single bed - it would not make sense to put the blanket across it, head to toe on the short side.

@Montserrat Yes it was pretty nice 😊
@mavie Thank you! 😊
@Froud thanks and thank you :thanks:
@JCU @Nanna Io @Anek it actually seems to fit nicely from left to right, but I don't really understand how that can be. I looked at the label, it says 220x240 cm. But it didn't seem right, because my bed is 200 long and it fits axactly that, so I measured it ( :bigsmile: I'm sorry, I'm weird) and it seems to be 200x220..

Monday December 5th
Called my sister in law this evening, to talk about my gastroscopy and that my friend wants to bring her 2 yo. She instantly was rescheduling her day off and is going to ask her colleages tomorrow if that's okay, so she can go with me. And my brother told me he had several gastroscopies for the same reason and they turned out to be fine. I'm happy I told them, their reaction can be on my gratitude list too.

I bought my rental home today, went to the notary for the final signatures. In the next few days it'll be all finalised 😊 so I can start with making plans of what to change. I think I need to organise and take a video/pics about how it is now, so I can make a kind of before/after movie. There's so much that has to be done...

We've bought a blanket of the same size two weeks ago and just throw it on with the long side from head to toes. Couldn't even imagine how it would work otherwise, the bed measures 140 x 200 cm.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the gastroscopy, I hope it will turn out okay.

@lofivelcro thanks! And I'm glad I'm not the only one using the blanket from head to toe. But I must say, having it cross, it's easier to wrap myself into it now, especially when Pico takes half of it 🤣
@JCU @Nanna Io thanks!

Tuesday December 6th
I am going to bed way too late. Especially since I made the plan to go to the garden center first thing in the morning, just after opening hours, to get some Christmas lights for my house. I'm still in doubt if I want to buy a deer of light, I actually want to but my garden is not prepared for one. Or maybe it will look nice on my balcony 🤔

Congratulations on your house.

I've had a couple different medical tests done (one was a stress-echo, one was a colonoscopy) in my past due to symptoms. They both turned up nothing. Hoping yours will have the same result.❤️

@CODawn thank you. And I hope it'll be fine, glad yours were. Your tests aren't fun either.

Wednesday December 7th
I had a great day, the best I've had in months I think. I went to the garden center to buy some christmas lights. I didn't have much expectations, because online they didn't seem to have much in store, and also not the things I wanted in their inventory.
But, it turned out they had exactly what I wanted, I also bought the deer light and with discount too! It took some time to get everything in order, I got my christmas tree from the attic, had to get Pico out of there too, I also had to get her away from my deer because she started to chew on the cables (can you imagine? Getting up early to get to the store at opening hours because later it'll be overly crowded, and she will break it within seconds). She wanted to eat a wire that was around the cables. So I got scratched and she got to lose some energy. I also litterally put her outside in the front yard, because she didn't dare to go since a couple new cats terrorise the neighborhood. I lured her out with her favorite candy initially, but was not fast enough closing the door and then she knew the trick 🤣
I ran. I wrote christmas cards for the neighbors. I managed some things for my house. Did some chores. I cooked a healthy meal. And I watched a Christmas romantic movie. I made hot chocolate! It was a productive and happy day.
Oh, I also finally got my wooden puzzles! I made the first one, really amazing!

@Gandhalfit thanks 😊 I have another puzzle from that shop, of an owl, I hope it'll be just as awesome 😊 and Pico thanks you for the grats, she felt strengthened in the need to repeat today
@JCU I :tu:
@Lady Celerity thank you!
@PetiteSheWolf yes, they are. She almost bit the lights in the christmas tree today, demanding attention 😅
@Nanna Io thanks!
@manuela @Fremen @TopNotch it really is awesome isn't it? And I have another one :plot:
@Montserrat Happy to hear 😊
@Anek thanks, and that tree is really old, at least 30 years because it already exists on my childhood pictures 😊 I have new balls though, because I don't dare to use the old ones. I'm too scared one will break. Silly actually, because now they are in a box on the attic..

Didn't have much energy today. And now I'm going to bed too late, because I couldn't get myself off the couch (and a kitty on my lap was the best excuse).
