"Back on track"
Hello everyone!

I am back(again) after a long, long break from exercising. My health has deteriorated a lot over the past few years, with long periods of inactivity. I've gained a lot of weight and I'm starting to have issues with my knees. So I decided to get back on track and come back to Darebee! Since I am struggling with an eating disorder, I will not be weighing myself or counting calories, I just want to re-learn how to listen to my body when I eat, and to be active. So I have some very light exercises to do for my knees from another source, because they are so weak I can't go right into a program, but I've decided to also do the Arms Of Steel (Seated) program, since it will not be putting any stress on my knees. I have the loving support of my wonderful girlfriend, so that will help too!

So today was day 2 of Arms Of Steel (Seated), and I'm going to wait a little bit before I start the knee exercises, because my right knee hurts and is puffy right now, but it's getting better each day, so I should be able to start soon.

Thanks in advance for your support, I'm happy to be back!

Welcome back! And sounds like a pretty good start. I did arms of steel (seated) early on too. Just as a warning, that can get more difficult than you'd think after a bit. (Who knew it could be hard to clench and unclench your fists?!) But so long as you don't try to rush it, I'm sure you'll do great. :D

Thank you for the warm welcome back!

I've been keeping up with Arms of Steel, just did day 4 today!

My knee isn't doing so good, it's still swollen, so I'm probably going to have to go see a doctor soon, but I'm going to try taking meds for it first and see if it helps, because I'm sure a doctor would ask me what I've tried, and other than rest, I haven't tried much yet!

Today I started doing exercises for my knee! It's no longer swollen and it feels ok, so it was time!

What I did:
10 x 3 sitting with my legs straight in front of me and a cushion under my knee, I push down on the cushion for 10 seconds and hold
10 x 3 laying on my back, raising my leg 45 degrees and holding for 5 seconds
Day 8 of Arms of Steel (Seated)

I'm pretty proud of myself for keeping it up!

I only did some light stretching yesterday because I felt stiff, but I'm still going strong :ss:
