I am done just lurking around, so decided to open the check-in thread :)
I am a 47 year :jeez: old female, slightly overweight but all together rusty, perimenopausal and cranky :). Used to exercise and write some here, but before the pandemic.
As a health worker, pandemic hit hard, so I stopped all good routines, and got a lot of bad ones.
Now it is really time to make myself accountable for my well being, and to do what I can to make my life easier and healthier.

Thank you for the warm welcome.
Yesterday was a good day.. managed to come from work in time, made a Swiss chard risotto and exercise before five, so I left only yoga for the evening. It is really important for me to do yoga every day because I sit too much and yoga (even easy beginner type) is the best remedy for my back.
This is ideal split for me, because I have two dogs that need a longer evening walk so it is a little cramped around 7-8 PM.

This weekend was a wonderful girlfriends getaway in a small house by the river. It was snowing all Saturday, we were talking and drinking and having so much fun.
So.. exercise only on Sunday evening :oops:

I have a little pain in the right kneecap after yesterday's lunges. Never felt this before. I guess it goes with age, poor physical condition and weight. Although it is not terrible, it is too much (163cm, 70kg). I have to work on this, I know, but it is more downs than ups :grumpy:

I have an issue that I usually don't have, with steps. It is really rainy and this couple of days and my dogs do not want to walk when raining. Also I sit a lot during the working hours. This challenge made realize this.

I caught a cold :mask: I either cannot breathe or have a persistent running nose. This is a stage when yoga is for me not possible. No breathing, no yoga :eyes:

I thought that my walkabout challenge will be way smoother but I forgot to calculate the time of the year. It is firework and crackers that interferes with my steps because my dogs do not want to walk, they are scared of that noise. So only in the morning, and I go to work before 6 o'clock.. they do not want to walk then, they want to sleep.
