Having a knee that has no ACL or MCL can make exercises like lunges very sketchy when not wearing an offloading knee brace for a middle-aged woman. Are there any exercises that can replace the lunge style that are seen frequently in the different programs? Asking for a friend. 😉🤣

Hi, @AgileGrrl !

We got you, you can suggest to your friend to try to do squats and their variations, step-ups, knee to elbows and bridges, and their variations ;)

It would all depend on the preference, their medical provider recommendation and level of physical readiness.

Remind them to start slow, give their body time to recover and if anything starts to feel ‚not OK’ listen to their body and take an additional break. The main goal is consistency.
