We have a dish washer machine in our apartment, it was installed new when we moved in 6 years ago and have never used it, even when we had a house for 25 years never used the one there. Only use for storing plastic food containers.

Some People prefer hand washing because they fell it gives them more control over the cleaning process and ensure that dishes are thoroughly cleaned and rinsed.
