Google-sheet GRID:
Hive Build & Conquest
I can not hold still.

I have new idea for multiplayer forum game. So if there are some interest, we can try to play and have fun, while building our fitness and strength.
Something like this:
Hive: Build & Conquest
Territory-based fitness strategy game up to 9 players
Goal
Claim and conquer the most fields in a 9×9 exercise grid using strategy, strength, and endurance.
Phase 1: BUILD
- Players take turns filling up to 3 empty cells per turn with unique exercises (no repeats).
- Once the grid is full (81 cells), the conquest phase begins.
- Exercises must be bodyweight without equipment, listed at Darebee workouts.
Phase 2: CONQUEST
- On your turn, you can make up to 3 moves.
A move = either reinforce your own cell or attack an adjacent cell (up/down/left/right). - You cannot chain attacks from newly conquered fields in the same turn.
- To conquer a field, perform more reps/time than the current holder. If unclaimed, perform the exercise to claim it.
Turn Time Limit
- Each player has 24 hours to post their turn.
- Missed turn = skipped.
- After 2 missed turns, player loses 1 random field.
- After 3 missed turns, player is removed; their fields become neutral.
Winning
- Game ends when:
- A player controls 41+ fields, or
- After an agreed number of turns or days.
- Optional scoring:
- +1 pt per field
- +5 pts per row/column
- +10 pts per full 3×3 zone
Core Modes
Win by total points after 10 rounds (tile count + 3x3 zones + row/column bonuses).
Instant win upon reaching 41+ controlled tiles (majority of the grid).
Optimal & Maximum Player Count for “Hive: Build & Conquest”
- Fast-paced, strategic, and manageable.
- Each player gets to fill ~20–40 fields (in Build Phase).
- Conquest phase has room to move, counterattack, and defend.
- Slightly chaotic, but still balanced if turns are fast.
- Each player fills ~13–16 fields.
- Conquest becomes more about tactical blocks and alliances.
Maximum: 9 players
- Each player fills exactly 9 fields (1 full row).
- Very crowded grid — no room for error or expansion.
- Best for fast forum play with shorter games and lighter fitness loads.
- Conquest phase becomes more aggressive, with constant clashes.
FAQ:
Q: Why should I play this game?
A: For fitness, recreation, and fun — plus it's a great way to test your limits and challenge your physical and mental capabilities in a creative format.
Q: Which exercises can I put in a cell?
A: Any no-equipment exercise is allowed — strength, stretch, yoga, core, or cardio. If it's part of a Darebee workout or program, it's fair game!
Q: Can I use any cell?
A:
During the Build Phase, yes — you can fill any empty cell with an exercise (up to 3 per turn).
During the Conquest Phase, you can only attack adjacent cells (up/down/left/right) that are next to your existing territory.
Q: What if my opponents are stronger than me?
A: Don’t worry! The grid includes a variety of exercises — yoga, cardio, stretching, even combat moves — many of which challenge control, balance, and endurance, not just raw strength. Even the strongest players will have weaknesses. Play smart and you'll win ground!
Q: Can I repeat exercises or use combos?
A: No. You can’t repeat the same exercise or combine multiple moves into one (e.g., no “push-up + shoulder tap”).
However, variations of an exercise are allowed — like diamond push-ups, wide-hand push-ups, or incline push-ups.
Q: Can I lie about how many reps I did?
A: Technically, no one can check — but come on, that’s not the point. This game is built on honesty, self-respect, and community trust. Cheating just means you lose the only thing that matters: your own progress.
Q: Can I take pauses during exercises?
A: No. Only reps done in one continuous set count. That’s your true achievement — push as far as you can, then log your honest result.
Q: Can I quit the game if I don’t like it or don’t have time?
A: Yes, of course. Just post that you're skipping your turn or leaving the game — no need to wait out the 24-hour turn timer. It helps keep the game flowing smoothly for everyone.
Q: How do I post my turn?
A: Just list the cells you’re acting on and what you did, like this:
A1 12 squats
A2 20 punches
B1 1:20 plank (one leg up)
Be clear and honest — this is your battlefield report!
Q: Where can I see the grid, my fields, and other players’ territories?
A: Once the game starts, each player gets a
- A shared Google Sheet will show the full grid with live updates.
A small summary table will be posted in the first post to show the current situation at a glance.
A:
- You can attack any adjacent cell (up/down/left/right) next to your territory.
- If the cell is occupied, you must beat the current score. For example, if it’s 10 push-ups, you must report 11 or more to conquer it.
- If the cell is unclaimed, you add a new, unique exercise (not used anywhere else) and perform as many reps or time as you can — that becomes the new score.
- If a cell becomes empty because a player left, the exercise remains, but the reps are reset — anyone can try it again and set a new score.
