Injury :(

Hello everyone,

When I started this journey, I never imagined that another injury would set me back. Unfortunately, today I received the news that that is exactly what has happened. I’m feeling defeated, overwhelmed, and uncertain about what lies ahead.

This time, I’ve injured not only my knee—a torn meniscus—but also my shoulder, which has a rotator cuff tear. Honestly, it feels like the entire right side of my body is giving up. I know I could push through by focusing on my left side, but I’m terrified that something might happen to it too.

I was only trying to improve myself, and now I’m faced with this setback. For now, I’ll be taking a break until I see the orthopedic specialist and get the green light to start working out again.

This really sucks.

I'm so sorry you're injured. The demoralization is salt in the wound when you're already in pain.

Please do let yourself heal. In the meantime, maybe you could continue your journey by focusing on making food fun while still hitting your macros and calorie goals. Also, while you're in recovery (and of course clear it with your doctor first), remember that zero-impact exercise is a thing! I've found that when I'm extremely fatigued or injured, walking laps in the pool really gets my heart rate up. Slow motion is still motion, and gentle resistance is still resistance.

Heal well; we're all here to support you. You can do it!
