I like them Jamaican patty's and have made my own with puff pastry and even an egg roll with that filling.
Last night we had crunchy tacos but no taco spice, so used the Jamaican curry spice I have plus some low salt stock powder, it was pretty good, no salsa so used sour cream.
When I was working I had a Jamaican work mate who didn't like pasta or pizza because of the tomato sauce, I told him he could use Jamaican curry gravy instead, I told him I made a pizza with Jamaican patty filling instead of the tomato sauce etc and cheese on top, ha-ha! very good.
I don't use the spice on it's own, it's part of regular thick gravy I make. When making patty's, egg roll or samosas let the filling cool.
