Josie's Movement Progress

I've found personally that focusing on making myself have more movement in my day rather than working out helps me move more. Sometimes I will do a 5 minute workout just to move more or take a quick walk. It's a slow process but any progress is good. Also balancing physical and mental health issues throws roadblocks at me more often than I want. Today was pretty lazy but also it was my birthday so I'll give myself a pass. Maybe tomorrow I'll take the dog for a walk and see how that goes. Also, the critical funding spooked me so I made a donation and I like to get my money's worth so I gotta start using the workouts more often

Thank you everyone! I used to have a check-in log on the forums before but I felt like restarting one. I did end up going for a walk but I did work yesterday and was on my feet walking around for 7 hours so I got activity in! Today I am going to the Ren Faire so I am sure I will be getting plenty of steps in!

I had a blast at the ren faire, I walked like 9k steps and it was hot as heck! Today I was worn out and tired from that so I just did the seated warrior workout. I was feeling too tired and lazy to stand up and do anything, but anything is better than nothing.

I had a horrible migraine yesterday but I still went to work at the brewery and got 7k steps, so I will take that as a win! The weather is finally cooling off here, so I hope to get outside for more walks. I also am going to start volunteering at my local food pantry which will be fun and help me stay active during the day!

Today I didn't do much activity but I donated blood for the first time! I have a fear of needles and wanted to challenge that and I am very proud I did. I unfortunately had a lot of wooziness and my ears were ringing so I am not sure when I will donate again but I am very proud of myself! Tomorrow is also resting as they recommend it for the next day.

Today I work at the brewery and will be getting a bunch of movement through that. I might do some yoga or stretching at some point today before then. And today was payday so I was able to donate $5, hoping that the funding % will go up soon.

I have been busy and lazy lately. I got my updated COVID booster and that took me out for a couple days. Yesterday I did do some Nintendo sports for an hour and that was a good workout as I get very into it. Hoping to go for a walk tomorrow but the weather is starting to turn here so it may be too icky.

So last night I closed at the brewery which always wears me out and then I opened today for an event and I am worn out. I didn’t have a ton of steps but putting up chairs, washing dishes, and moving kegs around (even empty ones) is a lot. I’m glad I got to get my movement in yesterday and today and make money at the same time. Gonna take it easy tomorrow for sure

Did the core and balance workout, and I really liked that. The only challenge is I need to clean up so I have more space for the leg raises. I also went to a concert last night so I got a lot of steps and some jumping in. Hoping to be more consistent but life loves to get in the way

Not sure why I stopped updating this besides life is busy in the last 2 months of the year! I went on vacation over New years and walked over 10k steps a day! But I aggravated an old ankle injury so now I am limited in what I can do. So today I did the Seated Cardio Workout and am going to work at the brewery tonight so I will get some more activity in.

The ankle is improving! I've been resting it and taking it easy when I am on my feet. Today I did the Micro Break workout and then some stretches for my injury as well as just in general. Fingers crossed that my ankle and the weather cooperate so I can go on more walks

Still trying to take it easy on the ankle as it's getting better but it's not fixed yet. I just did some stretches both for my ankle and just in general to get off my butt without aggravating the ankle. The weather where I am has been brutally cold so I am looking forward to some nicer weather soon!

Trying to get back into tracking my movement goals! I got a new fitbit which makes tracking more fun and has a longer battery life. Yesterday I babysat some family friends young kids and that was very tiring. The kids love roughhousing and playing games. Today I did some light yard work and am hoping to do more tomorrow!

I have been working on the recovery program still but on and off, been a busy week or so. I did take my dog for about a mile walk while the weather is still nice. I also have been trying to just do more stretching throughout the day, we will see how that goes this next week. My boyfriend and I broke up last week so I have been trying to be easy on myself and not expect to get too much done. Fingers crossed the next week is better for me

Been working 2 nights a week which is quite physical, I work in a taproom so on my feet serving beer. But at close gotta put up all the chairs, move empty kegs, clean mats, and more so it's good exercise. All the leaves have decided to fall in the last couple days so yesterday I spent an hour cleaning up leaves and sticks, but you can't tell I did anything today. I'm going out of town this weekend so I imagine I will get a lot of steps in.

Been busy lately! Went out of town to celebrate a friend's birthday and have been trying to declutter and clean around the house. My best friend and I decided todo the 75 soft challenge (an easier more customizable version of 75 hard). One of our daily tasks is a 20 minute work out so today I did some light workouts. Was running errands and felt like going easy today on day one of our challenge! I wanted to talk the dog for a walk but it gets dark so early now and it's been raining so maybe tomorrow.

This new year has been kicking my butt. Still working at least once a week and getting a workout from closing. Been doing more around the house and in the garage which is nice to get up and moving. It has been very very cold here in MN, -35 F windchill recently. I also lost my grandmother on Sunday, who I was very close with so I am giving myself grace todo what I feel up to. Going to work tonight and will be active there. Reminding myself progress over perfection, so if I only feel up to doing some stretches from bed then that's still something.

Thank you everyone. I've been just taking each day as it comes. Been trying to work 2 nights a week to keep myself a bit more busy and my body moving. Today I did 10 minutes of stretching while my dinner was cooking and that felt good. The weather has been better the last couple of days but it might get cold and snowy again, so depending on how it goes I'll try to go on some walks.

Been feeling restless from the stress of existence, so I did the light and lively workout to see if it would help. It helped some and I think it'll be a repeat workout, I liked it, and was easy to fit into my day. The weather is finally getting nicer so I hope to fit at least one walk in this week.
I picked up a shift yesterday, it was slow but still got me moving and out of the house. I close twice this week so that will be good activity as well.

I went on a 1.5-mile walk with my friend and their hyper dog today! It was a bit windy so I was chilly but it was nice to walk around the lake. Also been upping my water intake and that has been nice. I will be traveling soon and will likely be doing a lot of walking on my trips and I am excited!

My trip was great! Did a lot of walking and started a new job! I am working at the Joann's Fabrics near me while they close. It's lots of walking and lifting boxes. On thursday I hit 10k steps after 3 hours of work! I did pull something in my foot but it is doing better with rest yesterday and today and will not go too hard this week. I am traveling again next week so probably more walking

Did the clean break workout today, felt good. I went to physical therapy today because I pushed myself too hard at work this week with my bad foot. I worked 6 days last week on my feet for 5 hours or more each day. Doctor told me to take it easy for the next few days so that's what I did arms. I've been working so much between the brewery and Joann's that I haven't had the energy to doing dedicated work outs. Only working 4 days this week so hopefully my foot will get back to where it was. I also donated $5 today, hate seeing the funding bar so low and with all my working I had some to spare.

My foot is better but still not back to where it was before I over did it. I'm frustrated at the set back but now I know to be more careful. I did the ultimate morning stretching part 1, didn't want to be on my foot too much today so did it sitting down. I am hoping I will be back to at least 90% before June, I am the maid of honor in a wedding and will be on my feet a lot!
