Days 86
d86.png

and 87
d87.png

I've been so busy that I haven't had any time to check-in, let alone read anything else's threads. 😥 Long days on the computer again, but I was still able to stick to my one hour each day to finish as many P&Cs as possible. Thursday was busier than Friday, so I only managed to do those challenges that weren't time-based. Thankfully, Friday was a bit better because I was getting everything ready for running an agility trial on the weekend instead of designing stuff. There wasn't nearly as much computer work, more paperwork, hence I managed to finish all of my P&Cs before I headed off to bed later than I should have. Who needs sleep anyway? 🤪

Of course, Mother Nature had to warm things up excessively on Friday, so the 3rd pump and set of hoses had to come out because the other two couldn't keep up with the melt water. Happy happy joy joy. I so love Spring! 🤨🖕

This week is going to be nuts, with little time for anything extracurricular, but I will keep my exercise streak alive whether it kills me or not. I just might not check-in until a few days have passed. We'll see.

Thank you for the 'grats, @Anek, @THew8, @LiteraryMatcha, @TopNotch, @CPDawn, & @Jaga. You guys are the best!! 💕

Day 88

d88.jpg

and Day 89

d89.jpg

Two very long days running an agility trial where I was building courses, co-judging, scorekeeping, and running my mangy mutts. The main judge's courses were very technical with very few dogs making it through them clean. There were a ton of eliminations, but thankfully, mine did amazingly well. My BC was a superstar, making it through almost the whole weekend without an elimination (just one actually) and posted either the fastest time or the highest points across all heights and divisions in every run she qualified on. She had a couple of really spectacular runs that even impressed me (and I am pretty critical of my runs when I know there is always room for improvement). I'm so very proud of her. She's come a long way with little training to back it up compared to most dogs. 💗

Over both days I put in excess of 40K steps. Out of that step tally, 3400yds / 3.1kms involved me sprinting by my dog's side. Needless to say, I did not do any of my P&Cs because I got more than enough exercise to keep my streak alive. 😉 I am not even going to mention how many pounds of equipment I moved throughout the weekend. It was a ton (figuratively of course, but sure as hell felt like it by the end of the trial 🤣). Moving metal equipment really gives a gal a great workout.

Day 90
d90.png

Recovery day from the trial. Had to double check all of the agility scores done over the weekend before submitting them, and the rest of the required paperwork, to the organisation we run under. Woke up uber sore (because my body doesn't agree with my brain that it's still in its 30s 😆) and I didn't think I was going to be able to do any of my P&Cs. Figured I would use the free rest day I earned in the Treasure Hunt, but ultimately, my disgust at being lazy won out. Not sure if that is healthy motivator or not but it worked. 😂

I started on the easier ones, which led to harder ones, and eventually I had worked my way through them all, including trying to play catch up with April's challenge. I don't know if I am an idiot, a masochist, an overachiever, or all 3 wrapped into one, but I think I need to cut back on something because the amount of time it takes to get through them all is crazy. Hence, Soft Cardio was dropped (being mostly time, not rep, based). I'll start it up again later down the road. Not like I don't have a full slate as it is. 😉

I'm so looking forward to finishing Arms of Steel because my shoulders are not happy campers anymore. Pretty sure that is one of reasons and I need to give them a break. Either way...

Day 91
d91.png

Started snowing again (phuckaduck!) because, of course, Mother Nature needed to have 7th winter hit us. 🤬 It's going across the prairies and it's supposed to get worse by Friday when I have to drive 9.5hrs to Moose Jaw to judge a trial this weekend. I'm so glad I only drive a stick because, even with snow tires, the roads are going to be treacherous in some areas, and my manual trannie will save the day at some point, I am sure. Funny thing is (yet not so funny at the same time), the weather will shift and we are supposed to get up to 20ºC by early next week 😲, so all of this snow will be gone (and the threat of flooding will resume). I swear, that menopausal biotch needs to take a hormone pill or something. 🙄

Oh, have I mentioned how weird my BC is. This is what she likes to do regardless of how cold or how much snow is falling...

Just sits on the landing, that is slowly sinking into the ground, and stare at her reflection in the sliding glass doors off the sundeck. 😆 I think I got a defective model. 🤣

Playing catch up now that things have settled down...

Day 92
d92.png

Thank you @Syrius, @Jaga, @TopNotch, @CODawn and @Anek for the encouragement. It is always appreciated. 💗

This was the last day of calm before the storm of judging multiple agility trials, long-arse drives, and running my mangy mutts with copious amounts of sugar temptation at every turn. Bob help me. Spent the day finishing up some projects, dealing with an inept IT person that set me back 3 weeks on a project because of their utter negligence, and preparing the acreage for me being gone for 5 days. Between the snow that had fallen (again) along with the warming trend that will melt it (yet again), I have to hope and pray that the pumps stay operational and do their job while I am out of town. 🤞🙄

Today was the last day I had time to do all of my P&Cs until the next week, which meant I finally finished Arms of Steel. Yeah! Now my shoulders can have a bit of a rest and stop aching. The small amount of arm work in my various P&Cs should be enough to keep the arm muscles activated without overtaxing the shoulders. Right?

Day 93
d93.pngd93-2.jpg

Spent the day judging a day trial in the middle of a snow storm. Fun times. Thankfully the facility is indoors and heated, but the drive there and back was quite sketchy at times because of the 50km/h winds creating whiteout conditions. All of the competitors loved the courses and there were many titles earned that day, which is always rewarding to see as a judge. Put on over 11K steps (some walking, some lightly jogging, some running from point to point), so a decent amount for a day's worth of judging.

Got home and blasted through a month's worth of laundry, packed my & the dog's bags for the weekend, packed the car with my trial gear, and had just enough time to do my programs and the monthly challenge before heading off to bed for an early start the next day. Thankfully the snow stopped in the evening and the forecast hadn't changed - the warming trend was still on its way when I am one province over from it. D'oh!

Day 94

Skdrive.jpgQu'appelleValley.jpg

Had to get up at the crack of dawn and drive across the prairies for almost 9hrs to make it to Moose Jaw and judge agility that night. It was a glorious day for a drive without a cloud in the sky for almost the whole way. A lot of that route is rolling hills and bluffs intermingled with straight as far as the eye can see roads, so an easy yet tiring drive in the same breath. After multiple stops to fill up the tank & walk the dogs, along with pigging out on things I should not be eating 😆, we chased away the snow front to the next province 😉 and arrived safe & sound with just enough time for me to set my benching spot up before jumping into the ring to build/tweak my course, then judge it. Thankfully, the other masters judge arrived, so I was able to run my dogs that evening. Yeah!

d94.jpg

Once again, I put on over 11K steps between walking the dogs at our pit stops, judging agility, and running my dogs. Exercise streak still intact? Check! 😁 Because of that fact...

Day 95
d95.jpg

and Day 96
d96.jpg

Spent the weekend co-judging an agility trial where many sweet things were eaten (I'm sure I gained back at least 2 pounds from those 2 days alone), many kms/miles were put on my weary feet/knees while judging and running my dogs, and many great conversations were had with my fellow judge and most of the competitors I have known for years now. Normally, my birthdays are quiet affairs with me, myself, and I, so it was nice to be around a bunch of people I know and have fun with for change. 🥰

Both of my dogs did amazing this past weekend, especially my BC who ran with the other judge on my courses. Many dogs won't run with someone else, just their owners, but she has no loyalty and will run with anyone. 😆 She doesn't even care when I am standing centre ring on the course, which is also crazy on so many levels. In some ways, it's a teeny bit heartbreaking knowing she doesn't care about me, but in other ways, it's really not a bad thing because then, she gets to play with someone when I am busy judging the whole day and can't run her. 💜 Either way, she had a blast with him. ☺️

And my little old man? Why he was a lippy little booger on the courses he ran, showing everyone that age is just a number. 🤣 Most dogs retire by 11-13 yrs of age, but at almost 15, he is still wanting to do it and is physically/mentally more than fit enough to do it, which is truly an anomaly. No arthritis at all despite the years of competing in different dog sports, just a bit of vision and hearing loss. I treat every run we do together as a blessing because very shortly, our last one will happen and it will be an end of an era in so many ways.

After putting on over 35K steps across the weekend, along with moving heavy equipment throughout each day, I am still considering my exercise streak intact. So...

Day 97
d97.png

Spent the day driving home where I saw a ton of wildlife including both plains and wood bison, elk, white tailed deer, coyotes, moose, herons, cranes, geese, ducks, and a beaver - all either on the fence line of Elk Island Park, on the side of the various highways I drove on, or chillaxing on the side of my range road. Before the drive home, I took my pups to the world's largest moose, called Mac, for a photo-op because any time I had been down there, it was always cold and snowy. This time it was sunny and warm at almost 15°C. Got home around 8pm, checked the pumps/hoses to make sure they were okay, did some challenges until my body said no more, and went straight to bed.
I was plumb exhausted.:crawl:

Day 98

Had a massive migraine all day and well into the night that forced me to hide from as many sounds as possible. Did a 10 minute Om meditation from the 30 day challenge, used my free rest day earned from the Treasure Hunt (sans spicy food), gave the dogs a bone, and hid under the covers until I eventually fell asleep. What a horrible day!

Day 99

Woke up with a headache instead of a migraine that got progressively better as the day progressed. By dinner time I felt mostly human. Couldn't make it through my P's so focused on the C's instead and got through them all along with April's Challenge. Went to bed because I was exhausted!

Thank you @Lady Celerity, @CODawn, & @Anek for the kudos. Appreciate the support. I am so far behind on my log reading that I am hoping to catch up on this weekend. Judging a trial out of province, so I might not make it through everyone's but I will try my best.

Day 100
d100.png
Wow! 100 days of straight exercise (except my freebie rest day given by @neilarey in Treasure Hunt). I definitely feel stronger in many ways but the weight is holding steady, so I need to change things up. Not sure what because I am hitting an exceptionally busy period that I barely have time to do this, let alone research a solution. We were in the middle of a blizzard with 70km/h winds and snow and I had to fly out the next day across the country to judge a trial. Don't know what exercise I will get on flight days but I will figure something out by hook or by crook.

Oh, dropped Spellbound because I have less and less time for extra stuff like working out and it is another one of those programs that are time based instead of rep based. Will have to come back to it down the road at some point.
