I hopw you're doing well :sendinglove:
Thank you for asking! I am doing well, 14.5 weeks pregnant 😊 I have not much to complain about, except that I had to stop running because my legs and breath were not up to the intensity anymore. But since a few weeks I started a pregnancy swimming class, which goes really well and is fun too.
I'm trying to finish my long distance hike route before the end of the year, hiked 17 km today. I have 7 stages to go. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to check in here.

Though I would like to join the holiday festivities again.

Thank you :thanks: @JCU

Last week I've been feeling very tired. Not sure why, had a very long and busy day on Saturday but I can't imagine it'll take a whole week to recover.. had a check at the midwife this week, and everything is good.

The swimming class is really fun, this week the teacher gave us a few pilates exercises, really nice. Never imagined I would've found it so difficult to balance in the water 😅. And it was also a funny feeling doing 1 leg calf raises (while in tree pose) in the water, I felt so light!

On Wednesday I dragged myself into the forest, I'm so happy I did! The weather was beautiful and the trees are so nicely coloured. Hiked 8.82 km.

I wanted to finish my long distance hike before the end of the year. Even though I would be able to (only 6 stages to go), I won't push for it. I get some stiffness around my tailbone, which I discussed with the midwife and luckily it is not bad or damaging anything and I recover still really well. But, I notice I just don't feel for it. It takes away my whole free day, I have to pee every hour and it's getting colder. (I don't mind the cold, but I do mind peeing in the forest in the cold). So I decided to let go of that goal.
Instead I'll do hikes up to 12 km, that went really well last Sunday.

On the 1st of December I have a try out lesson for pregnancy yoga. She combines it with hypnobirthing. I hope I'll like it.

Time goes by so fast, I'm already 17.5 weeks on the way..
I bought the anniversary edition of the Winnie the Pooh book, it is gorgeous! I'm really looking forward to the story telling and reading books 😊 I started a list of all the children books I'd like to have. I hope the kid will like reading

Dear Santa,

This year has been and is all about change. Unfortunately I'm not working out as much as I used to. But, for good reason, since I'm pregnant 😊. My body is resisting high intensity training, so no more running, HIIT, jumping around, etc.. which I miss though, because I love it. But now I have to adapt and slow down, avoid ab exercises (those abs have to be able to make some space), go swimming, try a yoga class, hike and practice my handiwork like embroidery, crochet and knitting.
So I'm not the easiest giftee this year, but a little something would be just enough.

Greetings,
Nancy

Last week I had my try out lesson for yoga. I like it 😊 the teacher combines it with breathing and connecting with your unborn baby, she also uses tai chi exercises which I also like a lot. Her approach fits me. So I'm starting officially on the 5th of January.

On Friday 5th I had my swimming lesson again.

Sunday 7th I did a 10.78 km hike. This is getting a bit much. First of all, no possibility to pee on the way, which I have to do at least every 1.5 hours. So that became a bit unpleasant. And afterwards my SI joint was so stiff I could almost not get off the couch. With moving a bit through the day it was okay and the next day no problems, but I think I should turn down the kms a bit more.

Thank you @colin 😊

8-14 December
My hiking plans are not going well.. The days fly by so fast, it's dark super early (around 4.30 pm), and I'm just done after 1 activity. So no real hiking this week.

Friday was 'bring your partner to swim day' at my swimming class. Was really fun, especially because my boyfriend didn't take it seriously and got the teacher's reprimand like a naughty schoolboy 🤭.

Over the weekend I did 2000 arm circles in sets of 100. So I got my apple for the tree!

Today a friend took me for a high tea to a cat café :kittens:. It was really nice, but the cuddles of Pico are still the best 😊

Crazy busy week at work.. try to keep my calm and listen to my body. Only 2 days left before a 10 day holiday!

The week started good with a walk every day, kept it up for 3 days. It's progress!

On Friday I went for a short walk with a colleague during work. Swimming after work was really nice. I start to feel really heavy when I come out of the water. My belly is growing nicely :loveit:

Those weeks were very busy, with travelling and a lot of social things.

But I did my secret santa gift, it was so lovely! Perfect! Thank you Santa!
Also did the one I gave. A hint: it's a gift I can do myself without adjustments.

I also did a few hikes, a total of 29 km, with a lot of altitude.

1 hike was 4.4 km, with 344 m elevation. It was more steep and snowy/icy than I expected, I notice that I am very aware of my vulnerability being pregnant. I was at times pretty scared that I would slip and fall, but everything went well, I just took all the time.

1 hike was towards and back for a 1.1 km round trip around an old mine. Became a 6.77 km hike with 372 m elevation. We got a private tour through the old mine and spotted a few bats hiding inside!

Because of the snow my first real yoga lesson was cancelled, but got started on the 12th. I hope in the next lessons it will become a bit more moving (it was mostly explanation and breathing/relaxation).

Didn't do any hiking, I'm pretty tired, but tried to do a short walk every day, which I managed half of the days.

Was doing too much at work, so asked a colleague if she wants to be my lunch partner, so I'm sort of forced to go out of my office, and that helped already!
