Mystery to me

I am new to this site and hope that my question/situation will result in concrete answers and recommendations. I am 71 years old and recently had surgery on my left ankle to help with osteoarthritis pain. I also have some neuropothy in my feet resulting in a feeling of heat and pain on my fot bottoms.
After surgery I was in a cast for 3 weeks and transitioned to a boot for another 6 weeks. I did a lot of sitting during this time as it was recommended to stay off f the foot while it healed; ice and elevation to reduce swelling.
After the cast was removed, I began to develop pain in the right leg (opposite the casted leg) which consisits of a painful right glute, lower back pain, pain radiating down the back of my leg, and what feels like a shin splint. Walking is difficult for any distance without feeling tightness and increased pain. My right leg actually feels too long!
My question is : what can I do to restore/ improve the ability to walk better/farther and decrease the pain level in my lower back, glute, and leg?
Hope you can help!

It is very difficult to give you advice given your particular physical conditions, perhaps you should turn to a specialist who can follow you professionally :)

Welcome to the Hive @mikeceleskey
I have to second @Fremen on this. Would you really take medical advice from a perfect stranger on a fitness forum? Or rather go and ask a physical therapist / doctor. You obviously have a complex problem, but that is not to be resolved here. Any advice, other than seeing professional help, could cause you more trouble.
I sincerely hope you get better soon!
