Hello bees! For the past several months I've been tracking my sleep score. It's interesting that when I was on a 3 week break from work I got between 7-8 hours almost every night and my sleep score was good. Back to my work routine, getting up very early, and now I get maybe 6 hours/night (despite going to bed earlier) and the score is consistently fair, or like last night, poor. My best sleep seems to happen between 5am-7am. This is when I get up, get ready and leave for work.

I've been crunching numbers, trying to figure out if I can retire early. If I do, one of my biggest concerns would be getting health insurance. Having had some health issues this past year, this is could be an issue. Would my health issues be fewer due to better quality of sleep and less stress? Maybe. Or would living on a very limited income create more stress? Maybe. I am able to live on very little. I don't need much but costs continue to rise: insurance, utilities, food, etc. What's better? Live now with less and maybe better quality of life? Or wait until I'm sure I'll have what's needed, even though each day seems to be exacting a heavy toll on me? I've been mulling this over for a while and am stuck.

Meanwhile, I press on!

Hello bees! I have been fairly consistent with exercising but not with logging. I am really enjoying the Exercise of the Day and Workout of the Day. I don't have to think about it, it's always a surprise and never boring! Also autumn yardwork is in full force here. So there's been lots to keep me busy.

I have been fighting a cold for several days and finally am feeling better. Decided to ramp up my immune system with some light exercise. The leaves and acorns on the ground will have to wait until the weekend though.

@Anek @astro_lizard thank you!

The cold has progressed into my chest and I was coughing a lot last night. Despite that, I am feeling better but trying not to fall back into typical Lady Celerity habits by pushing myself too much. Cold and flu and Covid season is in full swing at work so if I can get away with just a cold I feel fortunate!

Gonna enjoy an episode Inside Airport Lost & Found . It's bizarrely fascinating. Who parks their car at the airport and never comes back to get it?? Who loses (or even buys) a pair of Limited Edition Air Jordan sneakers worth over $700?? Why would you not file a lost claim for your child's baggage containing trinkets from a trip to Disneyland?? I can imagine some great stories!

That pesky cold has lingered but is almost gone. My daughter, however, has been very sick with multiple infections. We had to go to the emergency room on Friday morning. She is slowly healing but it's been hard for her to keep the medicine down. Prayers and healing vibes are appreciated!

Saturday I did an epic leaf blowing marathon. First I got on the roof and blew the leaves off, then cleaned the guttters. Then I did my mom's roof. Then I had to clean up the huge mess I made blowing everything off. Anyway, it took most of the day. I didn't mind too much, it was beautiful outside, but even with a mask on I managed to breathe a lot of dust. Everything looked great---until the next day when the wind picked up. :yell: Who needs a gym?

@Mamatigerj thank you! She is definitely improving.

Yesterday I made the trek to Civilization and got home way too late and too tired to do anything. The most important thing I did was stock up on cat food!

I'm going to open up a little and say the past few weeks have been really, really hard. There's been a lot going on. My only sibling passed away. My daughter and I have been very sick. Work has been tough and I have two more years until I can afford to retire. There are some significant death anniversaries this time of year. I feel stretched to the breaking point with all my responsibilities. I have a Major Milestone birthday coming up that I'm not at all excited about. I feel discouraged. BUT I do have hope. I know this life is not all there is. We all struggle at times. It helps to share with others even if it's on a fitness server. I'm thankful I can do that here.

Any one of those things alone would be a difficult time, let alone all of them at once. I hope things turn around for you soon. I'm sorry to hear of your sibling passing. I know nothing will make the pain of loss go away so I hope the rest of your life improves so you're better equipped to cope with the loss. I'm glad sharing things here is helping. Please go easy on yourself!

Today was official Parents Behaving Badly Day. So much so that law enforcement was called. Everything's okay but yikes! people get a grip. Add to this a two hour webinar on a complicated billing process using at least 50 different acronyms and having my desk surrounded by people talking very loudly around me and let's just say that I'm done. :phew:

But what a blessing that my daughter is making us dinner (pasta!! the ultimate comfort food!).:noming:

Oh well, it's so pretty I can't be upset about it. We're expecting lots of rain this week so I have a feeling most of the remaining leaves will be on the ground quickly.

I'm missing the SOMA 40+ program but I've been consistently inconsistent lately. Sticking to the Exercise of the Day and Workout of the Day has been a stress-free way to get my workouts in. I've also been looking at the weighted club that @Fremen is using. Looks really interesting!

I have to say, these are really fun exercises, and there's no other way to train them like this.
I'm now on to the core rotation part. :)

It's official: there are now more leaves on the ground than on the trees. Days of heavy rain has had its impact. Thankfully, it's still raining and until it stops I have a legitimate excuse for not raking leaves.

FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rather a mellow day until right as I was getting ready to leave work an employee quit. :thrown: So I had to work late calculating their end of pay.
But now I'm off for four whole glorious days. Yes, there is leaf raking in my future but I'll be able to sleep in and take my time with it.

After a long and busy weekend it's back to reality. I put in some marathon yardwork over the weekend but you really can't tell; the leaves have fallen so fast! Spent time with family, took care of housework, paperwork and even did a little Christmas shopping.
