Stress seldom helps. I'd recommend a hot bath, maybe a massage.my back has been spasming badly all day. Stress is not helping

I can now stand up without wincing in pain. This was good timing because my workday was extremely hectic and I was up and down a lot. My ears are still ringing.

I'm always interested in home remedies @LiteraryMatchaAwesome!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!
May I suggest a home remedy to relieve back spasms if they get real nasty?
It's ok if you're not interested.

If you can, get a pair of massage spiky balls of different hardness (ideally one harder than another).I'm always interested in home remedies @LiteraryMatcha

Thank you @LiteraryMatcha for sharing this! I have done some of these exercises and will definitely try these. If you can, get a pair of massage spiky balls of different hardness (ideally one harder than another).
Lie down on top of the balls or against a wall. Rotate it against the muscle that is spasming (if you can, try to find out which muscle it could be i.e. with a muscle map pic, so you make sure you cover all the potential muscle knots). This method I use often when I get back spasms myself.
Also, there is an evidence based book for self-help supplementary medical approaches to heal chronic pain that I incidentally got in a book exchange which shows with real human pictures some myofascial relief techniques (stretching) and with massage balls (wrapped in a towel if too spiky).
I think it's ok for me to send a few pics of it. The book inside states "no portion of the book may be reproduced (...) except for brief review".
@neilarey if I am breaching any rules please feel free to remove the pics.

they finally found their hustle. My 13yr old buddy and I did over 2 miles within our allotted time. The weather was beautiful and there were bubbles at the finish line!
And that makes it all worthwhile. Bubbles. And stickers...there were bubbles at the finish line!

I've been out of commission for a while...messed up knee has me on crutches and waiting for an MRI. So frustrating! I can't bend my knee or put much weight on it.
Then my car decided it needed repairs.
It's been a challenging few days for sure. I'm pressing on!![]()
