New to darebee and I'm just so dumbfounded that I have to ask some questions

Yes, they are effective! :) Personally, Darebee helps me better than anything else, better than a fitness studio or physiotheapy. I am using Darebee now for over a year. I had chronically inflammated hand tendons for the last 8 years, nobody could help me and the doctors said I should just live with it. With Darebee's tendon strength workouts, I was able to heal most of it. Apart from my hands I use Darebee workouts mostly for back strenght because I have a desk job. The workouts help a lot with back pain as well.

I've been using Darebee since an undergraduate student. Even though there were moments that I would miss the gym, somehow I always come back to Darebee haha. Either using the programs and workouts as a basis and adapt them according to your needs and wants, or using them exclusively as they are, I GUARANTEE YOU that it works. You will definitely build functional strength, you will definitely improve your fitness levels, and you will definitely improve your physique. The how much etc of courses involves other factors as well, such as personal effort and patience.

I will be straight forward about this. For some reason that after so many years I still don't get why, Darebee has received so much criticism for its content, especially from Reddit and calisthenic communities. Probably because people there don't understand the difference between traditional calisthenics (as in the cool videos you see on YouTube and TikTok) and traditional bodyweight training. Especially considering that Darebee also includes traditional calisthenic workouts, plus weighted workouts or whatever other equipment you have available.

So I'll take the liberty of saying this even though it sounds too much on a personal note haha, as a long-term Darebee athlete I guarantee you that the whole system here works.

Hello, and welcome. I've been here since 2016 - yep ;) And it works. If you wanna be like Scchwarzeneger, I don't know, LOL, but if you want to find an exercise routine for different fitness levels, and a supportive community, this is a great place. I have done mostly level 3, even a few level 4 (one or two) programs, and had also to go back to level 1 and 2 exercises and programs when recovering from heavy surgery. Find your level, take on the habit, have fun, and then progressively push yourself! You are at the right place, and you can do it.

It depends on what your very, very long-term goals are. If you're seeking to win olympic medals or win bodybuilding contests, then I'm afraid you won't get that far with DAREBEE alone, but if you're looking to bulk up or lose weight, then yeah, DAREBEE works. I've been using it since late 2018 and it actually help me to shed a lot of the excess weight that I had, plus it motivated me to face the enemy that everyone hates and now I love Burpees. The community is quite wholesome and welcoming, and the workouts are encouraging. You can always challenge yourself or tone it down because workouts and programs vary in difficulty. Plus, if you don't want to use it as your main workout regime, you can always use DAREBEE as an addon to other workout regimes you're doing. In TTRPG terms, DAREBEE is the Index Card RPG of fitness: simplified, accessible, modular, and if you want to change, you can always take the stuff that you like from here, and add it to something else that you're doing.

You can always go into the check-in logs for results. Many of us share our progress over there.

Don't doubt it just because it's free. I don't see accessibility as a disadvantage. I can't speak for "results" because I'm not regularly measuring anything in particular, but I've had a lot of fun and certainly improved in strength, confidence, and skill.

ETA: ...if you paid someone to challenge you to do planks or jumping jacks for a month, would that be more effective? Whatever system actually motivates you to work out more is the system that's most effective 🤷

If you feel like there ought to be a fee, just give a monthly donation ;)

I used to use Darebee as an at-home supplement to lifting at the gym, but had some major health issues.
Now I've been using Darebee to build my strength and stamina back up.
Of course, the absolute optimal results will always be from having a good personal trainer, but nothing beats Darebee for accessibility, and their programs really do work!
Plus the community is awesome and incredibly knowledgeable.
The people with medal-winning physiques are also cheering on the people getting their first good-form push-up, it's lovely here.
