New to fitness and healthy journey

Hello,

I’m new to fitness and healthy journey. I’ve already changed my diet (it still could be better). I’ve joined Slimming World two years ago and managed to loose weight. When I started this journey I was 89kg. In over 15 months I reached my target weight of 65kg. My current weight is now 70kg (it’s not terrible but in my opinion it could be better).

I would like to add more exercise during the day. I walk 10,000 steps a day thanks to the school run. I’m also trying to do more squats during the day (I’m trying to get of my sofa every 45-60 minutes to do squats).

I find the gym too busy and I also need to be flexible around my two children (10 years old and soon to be 3 years old).

I was wondering what advice would you give me on this unique (and hard work) journey ?

Hi and welcome!

These two collections of exercises might be up your alley.

Exercise Snacks Workout Collection - Collection of smaller workouts (2-5 minutes) that might be easier to squeeze in between other tasks
Fit Mom Workouts Collection - This one is specifically for moms. :)

You might also see if the 10 year old at least will join in. Teach healthy habits but also help wear the kiddo out for a bit, lol.

Welcome! And great job on your journey so far :perfect:

As someone trying to get back into routine after a few years off and on in working out, finding movements that you enjoy and want to continue are key.

NightWolf714 has some great suggestions above, here's another that might be a good fit.
