"Motivation is temporary. Discipline is forever."
Why does it say to do the Svend press 'per arm'? How can you possibly do it one-handed? And the twists. Again it says 'per arm'. Should I be holding the weight one-handed? Confused here.

Solution
When I did these, I used both hands to grip the dumbbell. However, one hand was gripping the bar, and the other hand was clasped around the first, acting more as a stabiliser. Then, I switched the primary hand based on the instructions.

You are not meant to do a true one-handed Svend press.

What “per arm” usually means here

For exercises like the Svend press and twists, “per arm” almost always means:

You’re holding the weight with both hands

But the movement is biased to one side at a time

Reps are counted per side, not literally one-handed
