Played hookie from archery because I wasn't feeling too great this afternoon. Honestly, I took the ride to see if it would help. Sounds weird, but it worked. I then implemented "The Plan" and it worked out great. Okay, so that's once it was successful. Now to see if I can have a repeat performance. I did take Valkyrie back into the rotation. By no means am I required to do both programs in the same day, because I can see how that might actually be too much, but as long as I can hit one program (or the remnants of the program if it is Valkyrie after I <Totals>ed it), I will call that a win for sure.

I even got M on the bike. I am so happy about that. He also just came over and told me that he has a plan as far as his biking is concerned. I am so excited to see him actually putting in the work. Tho, I might have to get him dedicated bike earbuds. He literally watched Netflix on his phone because he didn't want to connect to the bike. :facepalm:

Overall, not a bad day. I wasn't as productive as I wanted to be, but I am happy with the overall outcome. :yas:

Pretty chill day overall. I feel alright with what I've done. I really needed the ride today to help steady me out. I've been buzzing with too much energy today and I finally feel calm right now.

I do think something is up with my leg. I forgot that I had locked my knee earlier today and I think that that plus the heavy climb aggravated something in my calf/shin area. So, I'm going to take it easy and maybe ice it if it starts feeling more upset than it is right now. I currently plan on finishing up Punch Out this evening, but I won't be upset if I don't. My arms are a little tired too.

I feel run over today. I woke up feeling alright, but the allergy shot + the B12 shot just really took it out of me. I told weight loss doc that I thought that I would just do some yoga today and she told me to get my butt on the bike. So, I did. I guess it was the right move? :question:

Pain from last night was not present, so that was good. I'm going to aim for more tomorrow, when I'm feeling more like myself. :teatime:

I am still not feeling great. My energy is way, way down. I managed the ride and that was HARD. I had hoped that the music would help, and it did, just not enough. Allergies? Left over ick from the B12 shot? My body is definitely devoting resources to something.

I am still feeling really off, but maybe better? I fell down a video game rabbit hole today. One of these days, I'll finish the painful, self-imposed task of achievement hunting & 100%ing Assassin's Creed Unity. I did manage to complete one of the hardest co-op missions of the game all by myself 3 times in a row. The people of the internet were saying that it was impossible to do solo. I asked M if this meant that I was a sweaty gamer. He declined to respond. :tears:

So, things went a little better today. Hmm, okay. So, I need to be a little faster, but M riding the bike first let me do stuff before I got on the bike. It was strange to do strength work before I did cardio, but today it worked out. It was interesting.

Overall, a decent day. I did get a little distracted with rabbit holes. Such as a biking stat sheet. Uh, yeah, I sat there and figured out formula to change my total minutes into a hh:mm:ss read out. I'm quite proud of my excel coding.

It was a weird one. I had an upset stoumach when I got home, so I ended up on the bike late. But then, I just went for a ride while watching my show. No restrictions, no goals to hit other than just time on the bike. It was essentially a recovery ride in terms of difficulty and effort. Oh, and my shoulders and arms were so sore.

And then I forgot to put up my log for the day before going to sleep. :p

I just wasn't feeling very great again today. But I also had a lot of stress and literal running around just at the end of my work day that didn't help anything. Plus, I went to work 2 hours earlier than usual, so the lack of sleep I felt was extra acute.

Okay, I made it to 0330 last night before I went to bed. Woke up a few times, but at just before 1300, I woke up feeling great. So, that's good. I'm almost on target for Monday. So, I'll be doing some more adjusting tonight... Which is why I've knocked out my ride early. I wanted to go for HoV or Ironborn, but my knee is feeling a little funky and they both have squats. If I'm feeling spunky later, I'll skip ahead in Ironborn. Right now, it's time to go get groceries.

I am frustrated with being stuck in a rut with no answer as to why I am here and doctors not believing the things I tell them.

I think you need to get a new doctor who will ACTUALLY LISTEN to you. peopleHugging.png

Alright, large update time. I am going to just go ahead and abolish boxes for now. They are not helping me at the minute and I am just accepting that. I am also nuking the rotation. The only thing staying is House of the Valkyrie. Also, for the sake of the update, I am going to try to streamline this somewhat.

@AgileGrrl I have to wonder how much of it is them used to patients lying to them. I also don't live in a large town, so the number of providers is somewhat limited.

So many studies have come out in the last few years proving that medical care for women generally involves gaslighting because of gender bias by doctors, which results in delayed diagnoses, undertreatment of pain, and a heavy reliance on male-centric research that usually doen't apply to female physiology. Women are more likely to have their symptoms dismissed or attributed to psychological issues, such as stress or anxiety, rather than underlying physical conditions compared to men. It rarely has to do with patients lying to them. Living in a small town just exasperates the situation. 😕

Well, that's just great. I'm just going to keep fighting the good fight. In the past two years, I have seen some positive results from seeing doctors. I have gone from steadily gaining weight at 20 lbs a year to a plateau with an occasional drop. I have found that I am not only sensitive to gluten, but actually allergic to wheat. I fully disagree with my weight loss doctor's use of BMI, but she also takes measurements and readings on fat %. She is also the one who keeps having me try different things (like stop eating gluten and go get allergy tested [reduced my bloating issues significantly], try IM fasting [which helped me learn to stop eating at a normal time]) and respects that I don't want to jump to a medicinal approach to losing weight.

I have been seeing forward momentum and these current providers are definitely better than what I was dealing with before them - which was severe neglect from the office that I was visiting to inform me that they are only a clinic and not a proper primary physician. The current one that I have to disabuse of my non-working out is my oby/gyn. Hence my current dedication to a specific bike log because that is what she specifically asked me to do. (She also wanted me to talk to my weight-loss doctor about briefly doing GLP-1 and I have not talked to my weight loss doc because I want to find the cause of what is wrong with me, not just short cut to losing weight that I'll gain back because we didn't diagnose the problem and just treated the symptom.)

I have felt the gaslighting. I know I'm doing the right things. I'm fighting the fight to find those solutions. I'll just keep doing what I am doing.

I've been a little sassy today. I don't think I have done anything that'll get me in trouble, but I definitely had attitude today. Hopefully I'll chill out tomorrow. :tears: Also, if the cramps could chill out, I'd be a happier camper. :persevering:

I had another gluten incident on this day. I had participated in the carne asada fries at work and there had to have been gluten in either the seasoning mix (I tried to check this, but the ingredients weren't listed and I couldn't google it) or in cross contamination at the production plant for the frozen crinkle fries. Either way, I went home early. I did stop for the allergy shot on the way since I was already prepped for that. Then I fell asleep waiting for dinner and then fell asleep early. COS & GQHC were done while flossing and brushing my teeth.

It was a day. I think I was fairly productive and I did really well at drinking all my water today!! Taking antibiotics that say to take them with "plenty of water" certainly made me want to make sure I was fully hydrated today.

Now, I am going to go write for a little, then maybe a little bit of gaming before heading to bed. Love ya'll! :morelove:

Whelp, I definitely got in my head about sleep last night. So, I ended up taking the day and I just let the sleep happen. Not the best thing, but considering the likely migraine alternative that I would probably have faced today if I had gone to work on 3 hours of sleep... I made the right choice. Things will calm down after tomorrow. Hopefully.:sweat:

And still really bloated feeling and actually kinda tired. I'm going to take on Recovery and some stretching for the next bit to get myself loosened back up. Lol, I really should have been doing Recovery all last week as a way to do something and feel good about it, but it's alright. :ss: But I'm going to use it now as a pathway to easing back and still allowing my body the space it needs to heal.

I'm going to try to go for Groundwork Abs tomorrow if I'm feeling alright tomorrow. I've been avoiding it because I didn't want to clench my teeth in effort by accident. (Kinda sounds silly when I type it out, but that's been what's holding me back there.)

It was go to appointment day. I'm glad to report that despite antibiotic interference, all that happened since I lost saw the weight loss doc was that I regained what I had lost that week on nights. So, all she saw was that I had put a few inches on. We laughed about it and she said that my ongoing plan of consuming probiotics and yogurt stuffs is a great plan to help my body recover. :ss:

In crafting news, I am working on a little wyrm for a family friend and I am so happy with how my variegated chainmail mix is turning out. I'll share a pic when I finish. Also, my fabric for new garb arrived. Now I just need to find a pattern.

1.5 hour at fencing practice - I have some thoughts about this, but I'll wait until below.

A nap because I wasn't feeling very well. I hadn't slept well and I was low on fluids. I also just ate, so when I woke up after an hour long nap, I felt a lot better.

Now what has possessed me to get on the bike, I have no idea.

So, here's real wins for the day:
* I didn't quit
* I drank all the required fluids for the day
* I listened to my body and took it easy on the housework front

Biking has been great. I really, really enjoy it. Here's the problem. My legs at practice today were a bit wobbly and I could tell that my lunges and foot work were suffering. To compound matters, I have been letting my strength training slip again and my arms were so very, very tired by the end of practice. I need to make a schedule and stick to it on things that I do other than just biking. Something for me to work on.

Speaking of things to be working on, I feel bad that I haven't been putting as much time into helping with the Age of Pandora 2.0 as I wanted to. Life got a little busy on me.

Addendum to thoughts- I have settled on taking on a plan - the Maverick plan. Here's how I'm going to fit in biking.

Maverick PlanSyrius' Crazy Bike PlanExtras
MondayFull Body Strength (Can also be HoV because it is full of good strength stuff.)Music, theme, or Lanebreak ride - main ride should be 15-20mChallenges
TuesdayHIIT<===HIIT Ride (Tabata/HIIT/Intervals & Arms) to cover both categories. Also, do a 10m cool down on these rides to help flush my legs out better.Challenges
WednesdayCombat (I am going to amend this to Combat or Dancing, because dancing is just the best thing to do for foot work that isn't combat. And it gives me a choice, which my ADHD likes.)Recovery or Low Impact (10-20m)Challenges
Try for 10 minutes of point control work if I do dancing instead of combat.
ThursdayFull Body Strength (Same as Monday)Climb ride (Climb/Rolling Hills)Challenges
FridayCardio<===Longer Ride
Options: WHATEVER I FEEL LIKE!!
Challenges
SaturdayFull Body Strength (Same as Monday)Music, theme, or Lanebreak ride - main ride should be 15-20m
**Biking may be skipped on this day if I do Maverick & Fencing Practice
Challenges
Fencing Practice
SundayYoga or StretchingNo ride. Do what Mav plan saysChallenges

Now, here is where I go throw a spanner at all this. I'm on field work for the next month or so. I will do my best to follow what I have written up here, but June is just going to be absolutely bananas for me. I'll give this plan a go for June and if I don't think I've given it enough to decide if it is working, I will do it again in July as well.

Also, being said, I think I might dance today. But I promise to fully commit to the plan starting tomorrow.

I went absolutely crazy on the house cleaning front. I did all the floors (except the bathrooms - I'll get those next weekend with the rest of the bathrooms). It, uh, only should have taken 2 hours, but the ADHD squirrel that wanted to also put stuff away made it take more like 4 hours. Alright, I have just a wee bit of updating to do. :tears:

Friday, 29 May Wins: 71d
Steps: 14,856

Field work => 6 hours outside, w/ minimal exposure to AC.

P (Anna G) - 10m Sleep Meditation
Ugh, I forgot how much working Fridays sucks. My feet are sore and tired, but I'm staying hydrated. It's going to be even hotter next week. :confounded:

Saturday, 30 May Wins: 72d
Steps: 4,731

1.5 hours of fencing practice

Yup, that was enough for me on this day.
=================
Sunday, 31 May Wins: 73d
Steps: 3,141

Mav [Yoga]: Healthy Gut

Yup, I followed the plan today. I mostly just took it easy, getting my hydration game going and trying to set myself up for success as much as possible for the week ahead.

Monday, 1 June Wins: 74d
Steps: 14,918

Field work => 6 hours outside, w/ minimal exposure to AC.

some clamshells and prone side leg raises.

It was an okay day, I guess. I'm just living in survival mode right now. I had suspected this would happen.

Tuesday, 2 June Wins: 75d
Steps: 18,560

Field work => 6 hours outside, w/ minimal exposure to AC.

GQHC :hheart:

Still here, still moving. I taped my right arch for all the walking on this day and it helped immensely. Then I taped the left arch for overnight.
=================
Wednesday, 3 June Wins: 76d
Steps: 15,238

Field work => 6 hours outside, w/ minimal exposure to AC.

40 calf raises

A little less productive, but we were all feeling the heat. I kept the tape on from the night before and the only thing bothering me at the end of the day was my knee, so I taped *that* overnight.
=================
Thursday, 4 June Wins: 77d
Steps: 17,784

Field work => 6 hours outside, w/ minimal exposure to AC.

No extra work, but I did take a nice soak with some Epsom salt and just read in tub for a little. I'm counting self-care as the win tonight.

I once again hit the pavement hard, so to speak. I retaped my knee in the middle of the day, using both the Osgood and the full knee configurations. It held up long enough and I made it through.

The Rotation:
House of the Valkyrie 41 | Groundwork Abs 11 | Calves of Steel 15
Current plan: Maverick => Syrius' Maverick + Biking plan
=================

I am here and I am still moving. I will be remaining in "survival mode" for the next two weeks. I promise, I am doing my best every day to stay well hydrated and well fueled. I haven't gotten sunburned yet and I only had a small headache yesterday (Thursday) morning. I'll do some stuff for today and get a separate update up for that.
