I have been a smoker for almost 17 years, and I've tried many times to quit, but this New Year's, I think this time is really it; even if the stats are against me. Read Allen Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking, and have a few non smoking meditation on Spotify to help out. I juat figured if I can quit drinking (6 months sober) I can do this too! Wish me luck and as always,

It has been 14 hours since my last cigarette, and these withdrawals are insane. I have a massive headache, my stomach hurts, I'm anxious as hell, and I'm going through DTs like crazy. Im trying so hard to not hop in my truck and go to the gas station rn.

Well done! You will succeed and never regret it. This is a great achievement for you.

I used a YouTube channel by a guy called Joel Spitzer to help me. Whatever helps you you should use. You're on the way!

Almost 3 weeks without smoking. Trying to quit nicotine all together is super difficult, though, but at least I'm not smoking. Been working on stress management and keeping my cool under pressure.

Congrats on your journey! I know how difficult it is. I quitted smoking few years ago, i didn't track but I think it happened almost a decade ago.
I'm still trying to get sober but i get lost on the way.
You're doing great! It's okay that it's not a linear path. You're still trying and that's the important part. :)

Went to a couple's joint bday party at a local bar in town and didn't drink or smoke for the first time going there!:Even tho I was super stressed out I fought off the temptation to go out to the beer garden and pound a coffin nail 🚭

I'm gonna be honest. I feel off the bandwagon the other day, but I only had a few throughout the day, and never finished a single one because of how nasty they were! I am completely done with smoking now. Holy sh!t that stuff nasty. Threw the reat of em out.

Congrats on sticking it out through the tough early days. Those first few weeks after quitting are really brutal, and I remember feeling like everything was upside down, headaches, anxiety, the whole deal. For me, the cravings lasted a while but got easier every day, especially once some routines became less tied to smoking. Staying busy and not being afraid to admit when I slipped up actually made it a little less overwhelming in the long run. One thing that helped me was experimenting with different substitutes and distraction strategies, even just rolling up herbal blends when the hand-to-mouth habit kicked in. I found a lot of info about different rolling papers and tried swapping to organic ones during my transition, there’s a surprisingly big variety of Papes and Rips out there if you ever want to explore alternatives or just mix up the quitting routine.

Good for you!! I smoked for 20 years and tried to quit 6x with the longest lasting 1.5 yrs before I slipped back into regular usage again. Through all of those failures, my body kept craving. But on the 7th attempt, starting on April Fools day, 18 years ago, I tried to quit one last time and that was when my body and mind finally found it disgusting. That was the trigger that started it and I haven't smoked since. For you to be at the point where are you finding them nasty that is HUGE! You are well onto your way of being completely smoke free. Massive congrats!

A little more than 100 days and going strong! Nicorette gum tastes like @$$ but its helping. Also nearly at 10 months sober! LFG!
