I don't know what shoulder surgery you had. But after mine i had to keep the affected arm in the slope for 6 weeks and only very slowly start doing exercises the physical therapist showed and acknowledged. Long story short: be very careful with exercising too early and get approval from you doctors or physical therapist first. You can easily f*ck up the whole surgery effort by being too ambitious

Bicep tendonesis (sp) to correct a slap tear. And excision of about 8mm of my collarbone. In a sling for about 2 weeks then "coffee cup weight bearing" for the next 4 weeks. Physical therapy starts at the 2 week point.

Long time no update. I'm down 20 pounds from surgery, I'm cleared by ortho, and continuing to work in physical therapy. I've paid for my ticket to the spartan on Feb 28th in Jacksonville. Overall things are going great for me. Though I'm looking at moving soon, which is less than desirable. Appreciate all of the support thus far.
