Challenge Challenge progress: 161/174 (93%)

Just one challenge completed this month:
  • Push Up Streak :v:
Currently working on:
  • 2-Minute Mobility
This is the calm before the storm. 2026 will be the year I complete whatever remaining challenges I can and bring my Challenge Challenge to an end!

I admire a completionist.honest to god!!
Which challenges do you have left??
According to my spreadsheet, I still have:
  1. 2-minute mobility <-- in progress
  2. Squats 45 <-- might start this soon
  3. Super Saiyan <-- this will be hard
  4. Abs Advanced <-- this will be hard
  5. Walking <-- to date, I haven't had enough time each day for the walking challenges. I will have some extra time in 2026 to do these ones.
  6. From Walking to Running
  7. Walkabout
  8. 12K Steps
  9. Just Walk
  10. Only Homemade (30-day) <-- these will take some planning
  11. Only Homemade (15-day) <-- these will take some planning
  12. Pull-Ups Lv 2 <-- not sure I can complete this one
  13. One Punch Man <-- not sure I can complete this one either

I had a look at those.... wow. Some of those are a bit crazy???One Punch Man definitely has a prerequisite of already being a long(er) distance runner
:dizzy-face:
Some of those look like great combo though if you do plan to make them... Walkabout is a sure win if you do the One Punch Man at the same time with a 10k run everyday?
You know what though, I never looked at all the challenges and some of those I could "complete" so easily because I do this stuff already (Only Homemade, 12K steps, Walkabout, etc)
I also just recently scrolled down enough to see how many people marked those challenges as complete, and it shows up on the profile?
Your profile is FILLED UP to the brim haha! Good job, fellow Canadian.

What was the one challenge that you had to willfully push through with difficulty, like the hardest bits (guessing the last 5-6 days of those can get pretty rough in some cases!)

The way I've been approaching this, I don't double-count anything, so I wouldn't include the One Punch Man 10K in the steps required for walkabout.

A few challenges culminate in 5-minute elbow planks. I always have to push through the burning discomfort with those ones.

Pull-Ups Level 2 is so hard for me, I failed it the first time I tried it on day 3. I'm going to have to get a lot better at pull ups.

I think indicating that you've completed a challenge on a challenge page is different from indicating you've completed a challenge on your profile. Your profile gives you the badge. The challenge page keeps a tally of everyone who has indicated it complete. I haven't been clicking Done on the challenge pages, because I work off of downloaded PDFs.

One thing about being in Canada, depending on where I suppose, is that the walking challenges can be more challenging in the winter, right? I started the Walking Challenge yesterday and nearly slipped on icy roads a few times.

Good luck on all challenges you take on.

ooh I also print the PDFs and check them with a pen, I also write the date I started on them :) I make a little handbook to follow.
Pull-ups are incredibly difficult for ANYONE!

Taking on anything in the winter is definitely harder - BUT I also think, if you do it outside, the cold makes one's metabolism work harder (i.e. spend more energy) - which is great if one is looking for body recomp or trying to get fat loss :)

You may need to get NANOspikes for walking outside!

Challenge Challenge progress: 164/176 (93%)

Three more challenges completed:
  • 2-Minute Mobility :v:
  • Squats 45 :v: (I had to excuse myself twice during the Darebee virtual meetup to do squats for this challenge)
  • Walking :v:
Currently working on:
  • Arcade
  • Daily Dips (a 60-day challenge?!)
I'm going to wait a week or so before starting:
  • Just Walk (The walking challenges take time, and it's been snowing a lot where I live. I just need a short break before I commit to a month of 60-minute walks.)
And in early February, I will start:
  • Only Homemade (30-day)
I continue to persevere.

Challenge Challenge progress: 165/177 (93%)

Just one challenge completed since last check-in:
  • Arcade :v:
However, I have 5 more challenges on the go:
  • Daily Dips
  • Super Saiyan(!)
  • 3-Minute HIIT
  • Just Walk (Walking isn't the challenge here. Finding an hour each day to walk is the challenge.)
  • Only Homemade (30-day)
I found a spot for the Only Homemade challenge I'm comfortable with: No restaurants or takeout. No ready-made meals. Everything else is a case-by-case basis. I'm skipping many prepared foods like salsa, guacamole, pasta sauce, curry sauces, jams. However, I'm not making my own bread nor my own hot sauce once I learned that it was advisable to wear goggles and a respirator when making it. I don't want to subject my family's lungs or eyes to that.

Starting to make the few last pushes to get this challenge completed.

Down to the single digits. Just looked back at my first post. It's from October 2022. When I started this challenge, I had already completed 21 of the 128 existing challenges. I've been working on this for more than three years. In that time, Darebee has added 50 more challenges and I've completed 149. Nice. Back to it.
