The Honey Deck 🍯♥️♦️♠️♣️🐝 — Rules

Setup
  • Use a standard 52-card deck. (For randomization and dealing cards I will use Gemini AI and post it in forum)
  • At the beginning of each turn, the table always holds a number of cards equal to the Number of players +2.
  • Playing order is determined randomly at the start by throwing dices at random.org. Last player in one round, plays first at next.
  • Players have 24 hours to report their move. If they fail to do so, their turn is skipped and the next player proceeds. If a player is skipped three times, their cards are placed on the table, their points are nullified, and they lose the right to continue playing. Each player may call a "time-out" once during the game, which extends their move deadline from 24 to 48 hours.

Turn Sequence On their turn, a player must do one of the following:
  1. Take → Take one card from the table (the total on the table always stays Players + 2).
  2. A player may cash in a card from their hand at any time. The card’s point value plus any applicable bonuses are immediately added to the player’s score. The card is then removed from play and does not return to the deck or discard pile.
  3. Hand Limit Rule → If a player holds 7 cards, they must cash in one or more cards from their hand during their turn to free space. After this, the player may take one card from the table, unless they choose to skip drawing.
👉 A player’s hand can never exceed 7 cards.

Card Values
  • 2–10 = face value
  • J = 11
  • Q = 12
  • K = 13
  • A = 14
Bonus Combinations
At the
end of the game or while cashing in, players count the sum of their card values plus bonuses:

Bonus Combinations – Examples:

1. Pair (two of the same rank) → +10 points
  • Example: ♠️7, ♥️7 → Pair of 7s → +10 points
2. Three of a Kind → +25 points
  • Example: ♦️Q, ♣️Q, ♥️Q → Three Queens → +25 points
3. Four of a Kind → +40 points
  • Example: ♠️K, ♦️K, ♣️K, ♥️K → Four Kings → +40 points
4. Straight (3+ consecutive cards) → +30 points
  • Example: ♠️5, ♣️6, ♦️7 → Straight 5–6–7 → +30 points
5. Big Straight (5+ consecutive cards) → +50 points
  • Example: ♥️3, ♠️4, ♣️5, ♦️6, ♥️7 → Straight 3–4–5–6–7 → +50 points
6. Flush (3+ cards same suit) → +20 points
  • Example: ♥️2, ♥️5, ♥️K → Three Hearts → +20 points
7. Big Flush (5+ cards same suit) → +35 points
  • Example: ♣️3, ♣️6, ♣️7, ♣️10, ♣️Q → Five Clubs → +35 points
8. Full House (Three + Pair) → +45 points
  • Example: ♠️8, ♥️8, ♦️8 (Three 8s) + ♣️J, ♦️J (Pair of Jacks) → Full House → +45 points
9. Straight Flush (3+ consecutive cards same suit) +50 points
  • Example: ♥️4, ♥️5, ♥️6 → Straight 4-5-6 Hearts → +50 points
10. Big Straight Flush (5+ consecutive cards same suit) +75 points
  • Example: ♣️5, ♣️6, ♣️7, ♣️8, ♣️9 → Straight 5-6-7-8-9 Clubs → +75 points
11. Royal Stretch (10–J–Q–K–A of same suit) → +100 points
  • Example: ♠️10, ♠️J, ♠️Q, ♠️K, ♠️A → Royal Stretch → +100 points

End of Game
  • The game ends when all cards from the deck are used.
  • Each player adds up their card values + bonuses.
  • The player with the highest score wins.

FAQ

Q: I have the option to take ♥️2 or ♣️K. What should I choose, and what is the difference?
A: If you take ♥️2, you gain 2 points and must complete a workout of your choice from Cardio or HIIT, Light difficulty, Level 1. If you take ♣️K, you gain 13 points, but you must complete a workout of your choice from Stretch or Yoga, Advanced difficulty, Level 1.

Q: Some workouts do not have levels. Can I still use them for certain cards?
A: Yes. For example, if a workout is Strength, Normal difficulty, you can apply it to any Strength, Normal cards such as ♦️8, ♦️9, or ♦️10.

Q: How do I report my move?
A: You write which card you took, for example: ♦️9, diamond nine, and include the name (example: Buns of Steel, lvl2), or a link to the workout you performed (link).

So, we need 4 players to start playing and exercising :)

Maybe if we exclude Royal Cards (J,Q,K,A), then only 2-10 cards remain, and that's only Light, Easy and Normal workouts for playing.

That's not very hard and time consuming, as there 36 cards in deck remaining. 9 rounds for 4 players, 12 rounds for 3 players, and 18 rounds for 2 players.

Dear @graoumia , are you still up for a round of cards?
It looks like the youngsters, @astro_lizard and @Cryptids , either don’t have time or got worn out from all the exercising. I was hoping we could all try it together, because I really enjoy it when there’s some interaction with wonderful people like you. We can joke around, tease each other a bit :), and I’d also like to mix up these darebee workouts and try more of the categories.
We’ll go with a light version, up to Normal level, and it won’t last more than 18 turns. What do you say? I'll set up tonight, if you are in.

I noticed that there are no, or very few levels at Yoga and Stretch, so you can choose any workout from that card difficulty.

I might join in a future game. I know nothing about cards so I'll need to look up what a full house, flush, and all that lingo means :D I'll observe for a game or two and then join in the future, if games are still going

I'm not some card player as well, but before computers kids were playing with cards, chess, ludo or parcheesi, dices, so I had to learn basics.
But this game is simple, you choose card from "table", and do corresponding workout, and that card is then in your "hand", and it have value, and eventually bonus points from combinations with other cards: same suit, pair, straight numbers, etc. it's all explained in first post.

Ok, it's my turn and it's obvious I'll take that 8, but I will do my workouts tonight, and then report it.

But we can talk about points now.
So, in 7th turn, both of us will have 6 cards in hand, and pick one from table.
But, as there is maximum 7 cards in hand rule, we will have to "cash-in" one or more cards, to make space for next card.
We will take example for current situation.
You can cash in only 10♣️, and you get 10 points.
or cash-in 6♣️ 9♣️ 10♣️, and that is 25p + bonus 20p (flush) = 45 points
or cash-in 9♦️ 9♣️, that is 18p + bonus 10p (pair) = 28 points
Those cards are removed from deck, and you got space for taking new cards, and making new combinations.

Hello, i am tired this morning and my brain is really slow. I choose this workout, but i have no idea if it is ok (i already did it and liked it), did level 3, 3 sets, with Extra credits.

I think it match with 4♠️ - lvl3 light combat or metcon
If not i can do something else. Let me know

Ok, you again did more than is required :)
But, that is Graoumia.
Every Darebee workout has writen down Type, Difficulty, and how many sets are required for Level. So there is no need to guess.

Screenshot 2025-09-06 161107.png

So this Minotaur Punch 3 sets, is Metcon, Normal, Level 1 and can be used for 8♠️ or 8♦️
But, that we can count as 5♠️.

To make it easier to find which workouts you should play I will put links for that workouts with included filters for difficulty and type.

6 ❤️ - lvl2 easy cardio or hiit

cardio full workout

And as I have to make space for other cards , I'm removing from my hand and cashing in 5♣️ - 5 pts.

@graoumia its your turn, after you pick card, you will have to cash in one or more cards. If it is not clear how, I'm here to help.

There is small straight (3 cards in line) +30 points, and big straight (5 cards in line) +50 points.
Maybe you can wait for 3 or 8, and get +50 points, but then you have to give up one of big cards.
Maybe is best to give 4,5,6 and get 30 points bonus, and value of 4+5+6 is 15, so total is 45.
You have to use maths a bit, and risk, and plan, and that is the point of game :)
