Virtual Meet Up 2026!

Pssst! Wanna drop in and say hello?

We're thinking of having a DAREBEE virtual meet up to discuss New Year Resolutions and just say hello on January 3rd or January 4th starting at 9.00 AM Eastern European Time (EET) - you can use the World Time Converter here to hep you with timezones. We'll use either Zoom or Google Meet, I will finalize details here as we get nearer the day and also add instructions for use for those unfamiliar with them. For now could you please reply with a preference on the day by saying either 3rd or 4th January? As usual, the majority carries the day.

Unfortunately none of those days work for me. The 4th would be ok, but in the evening, about 7.00pm EET. I know that for you in Asia or Australia, it’s the middle of the night :vsad:

Have a great time together!

It's 9.00am EET which makes it 6.00pm Sydney time.

@Laura Rainbow Dragon we could move it by a couple of hours to maybe 7.00am EET, would that be better?

I'd love to join, either day would work for me. But I'd much rather not start at 7 am. I know finding a good time for most people will be a challenge, so I'll do my best to join.

9am EET on 3rd or 4th is 10pm AKST the night of 2nd or 3rd for me. That's a Friday and Saturday for me, respectively. A late night shouldn't be too much of a problem for me, but the first of the two day options as presented in the original post would be my best availability.

Still really late here. But better, yes.
I'd stay up for a midnight-1AM DAREBEE meetup. I can't speak for others in my time zone.

More than 60% of Canadians, and almost 50% of Americans are UTC-5 this time of year.
Unfortunately 7am EET would be 5 am GMT (UK) if I'm reading that chart right
Tbf my availability isn't great for either of those days anyway - fun idea tho

Yup. It is.

Late afternoon/early evening in Europe is when the most of us are awake. That's when we usually do the meet-up. It's a terrible time for folks in Australia and Eastern Asia, however. I love our truly global community. But the time zone challenges are real.

Unfortunately, it's sounding like I'm probably going to miss out this time. I have events on the 3rd and 4th and staying up for 7am EET (10pm my time) might not work out so well for me. I'm probably going to be exhausted from the events and I've also got to be up early on both the morning of the 4th and 5th anyway.

Would've joined even if it were like a 4-5AM wake up time for me in EST, but not at the sacrifice of messing up my sleepy times past 10PM :) Sorry! 7-9AM EET is just downright not good for folks on the american continent!

Why not make 2 meetups?

Looks like we have to open this up to a poll to help find a better day and time. I've put up a couple of choices here (and we're moving it to next weekend to allow time for everyone to prepare). - You will find the poll that records your option here: https://www.community.darebee.com/threads/darebee-virtual-meet-up-dates.3527/

Let me know your preferences by voting and I will come back with techie details.

BTW, the times offered work great for most people in the Northern Hemisphere. We may need to do a separate one for those Down Under.
