@Mianevem @DorothyMH thanks!
Yes my partner is really excited, his involvement/engangement (I cannot find which Emglish word is most suitable) is beyond my expectations 😊

It has been some time since I updated. Now 31.5 weeks pregnant, it is getting more difficult to keep up. Since last week I reduced my work hours to 60%. I am really tired so try to give in to a nap every day. My blood count is good though, so it really is 'just' being pregnant.

I try to go for a hike in the forest now and then, I think 3.5 km is now the max. I keep going to my swimming class, and maybe I'll go a bit more often when my pregnancy leave starts. Yoga turns out to not be much yoga, but more like meditation. Also nice, especially to get out of my work brain, but no physical benefits then. I saw that Adrienne has a pregnancy yoga routine, so maybe I'll try that one.

I start nesting, but my energy and physical abilities are in the way. Why doesn't the nesting start 10 weeks earlier? When you are still mobile? 🤷🏼‍♀️

35.5 weeks on the way. I'm doing good. My pregnancy leave started a week ago, which means I've been running around to get everything in order. I find it hard to give in to resting. But hopefully, now everything is (sort of) ready, it will be easier.
Pico loves it that I'm home so often, she joins me on my daily nap, which is really cute and nice.

I start my day with a walk. I go out when my boyfriend leaves for work, so I start my day dressed and active. My comfortable range is now 2 km.

I started to swim laps, for now once a week, 1000m per session. Apparently I am still pretty fast with my big belly, I am finished in 35-40 minutes, incl short breaks. (My pregnancy swimming class is more like aqua gym with strength and balance exercises).

37 weeks today. The baby may come, though I hope it will take a few more weeks. 37 weeks is still pretty early, and I had a cold last week which made me keep bed rest almost every afternoon. So hopefully I can enjoy my leave a bit the next weeks. I still have a few creative projects I want to finish before the baby is there. And some organizing to do.
It feels a bit weird, the waiting that starts now. It doesn't feel that close yet, but at the same time it does. It feels very abstract but also very real.

Walking gets a bit more challenging, I have to slow down because it feels heavy on my belly. I'm allowed by the physiotherapist to use a support band, but for the short distances I try to not use it.

Swimming laps goes well, I really love it. This week I've done it twice, because my pregnancy swimming class got cancelled I went to the 'lap hour' instead.

Thank you all 😊

Excellent! I think I made a turtle for my first.
A turtle is also cute!

My daughter was born at 33 1/2 weeks. She spent a few weeks in the NICU but is a beautiful young lady today. Your little one will be okay. You are beginning a wonderful adventure!! All the best to you ♥️
Thanks, yeah kids are resilient. I'm so curious how it'll turn out!

Enjoy this calm moments before the storm, and sleep while you can :D Take care, and eep on doing so cute things, it is really nice
Thanks 😬 I am. Started a few new projects, there's too little time in a day! It takes some mindpower to send myself to bed for a nap, but when I'm in bed, I fall asleep within 15 min so it's clear that I need it.

Next project finished:

The assembly had some hiccups. First, I broke my needle threader. Then, I broke the eye of the needle (yes, seriously).. I bought a new one, but that one I lost in the couch. Apparently the fabric of the backrest doesn't end at the seat, but continues underneath the couch, so the only way to retrieve something is to turn the couch upside down and open the bottom fabric. I decided not to go there, and just go out to buy another new one (and an extra spare one), and use a blanket to cover all the grooves in the couch. I also bought a new needle threader. But my new needle has a bigger eye than my old one, so didn't need it.

Thanks all!

I'm now 40 weeks, still active, swimming twice a week and I try to go for a walk every day.
The weather is perfect, sunny, around 15-18 degrees in the afternoon. We went for a short hike (2.5 km) to the forest, we found a nice round which has 3 benches along the route, so always a possibility to take a break or just enjoy the nature. The birds are so active, everything is so bright green, I love it.

Next to that, I'm waiting.

Hi everyone,

The 6th of May my waters have seriously been broken, like in the movies. Unfortunately my labour just didnt begin, I got seriously ill the afternoon of the 7th with a high fever, causing stress on our baby and it all ended in a C section and the birth if our beautiful daughter 🩷.

Luckily she had a perfect start and didn't show any signs of illness. We were both in the hospital until yesterday. My fever broke already in the night after birth, but it took some time to recover enough to go home.

I am bed bound, frustrated and disappointed because of the pain and disability of the C section, because like I know myself, I'm not good at being a patient and I have trouble with patience regarding recovery. But, hopefully everything I learned during my Darebee journey, I will give myself the time I need. Because that in the end is the fastest way.

I am crazy in love with our daughter, she is gorgeous, strong and has a feisty character while being totally charming. I didn't know I was capable of this kind of feeling.

So, a new chapter has begun.
