April 13 - April 25: 1 Minute Meditation day 30 :completed:, The Labyrinth (path: 14 --> 19 --> 18 -->17 --> 12 (backtrack through 7 and 6) --> 11 -->16)

I have a soft, fuzzy blanket that I thought was dry-clean only for years. It'd been in my closet waiting to be laundered for an embarrassing amount of time, so last week I decided I'd just put it in the machine. If it got ruined, it wasn't like I was getting any use out of it anyway. (After reading the fiber content label, I realized that it would be absolutely fine in the machine, and I can't believe the care label says dry-clean only.) It came out beautifully - even got out some 'stains' that the dry-cleaner said were permanent last time I had it cleaned :sus:.

The cat LOVES it. We have fights over the blanket. If I have to get up and go the the bathroom, what I come back to is this, every time. :tears:

@NancyTree @AgileGrrl @Jaga Thank you!

April 26 - May 3: The Labyrinth (path: 21 --> 22 --> 23 (backtrack through 22) --> 27 --> 28 --> 29, KEY FOUND!)

Recently I've been making avocado smoothies in my Dash mini-blender (I did not pay nearly that much for it 5 years ago :shoked:). I really like using the avocados because they have the weight and mouthfeel of yogurt when they're blended, and they're mild enough that a handful of fruit will hide the taste. So far my favorite combo has been strawberries with vanilla honey, and frozen cherries with a drop of almond extract has been good too. I want to try pears at some point, maybe with some cinnamon sugar? I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Have a great one, Bees!

Yaaaaaay, that's two programs and one challenge completed this year! :yas: Two more programs and three more challenges to hit my exercise goal for 2026.

I think my reward for this one is going to be a 'blind date with a book' from the local bookstore. They don't just hide the title and author of the book; they wrap it up with fun related swag (notepads and pens with mystery books, spatulas and oven mitts with cookbooks, sparkly stickers and bookmarks with YA) tucked into the wrapping paper. It's a neat little gift, and they aren't too expensive. And I get to support a local business!

Next up: The 2-minute Mobility challenge and the Indoor Cardio challenge. I'll have to do some modifications on Indoor Cardio (slow down those butt kicks so I don't strain my ankle, and possibly sit down for the calf raises on bad days), but I think I can do both at the same time. We'll see!

Have a good one, Bees!

May 15 - June 9: Indoor Cardio challenge day 1 - 20, 1 Minute Mobility Challenge day 1 - 20

I discovered solo RPGs last week! They are table top RPG games designed to be played by one person (or sometimes two), and most of them encourage you to journal or sketch the story as part of the game. Journaling is one of my top anxiety/depression management tools, but I can't always think of something to write about. I bought a handful of guidebooks last week - I was delighted with the variety of stories and playstyles I found once I knew what to look for. I got a couple of cozy ones, a solarpunk one, one themed around solitude, and one themed around letter writing. I'm excited to play them all!

Right now I'm playing Tinyoji. It's really fun and sweet. The description makes it sound like it's a lot less complicated than it actually is :tears: , but it's still very easy to pick up - I was comfortable enough with the basic rules after 2 sessions to start adding some of the additional rolls for a more detailed journal entry. There's an alternative version of the game called Tinyoji: Scarecrow's Tale that is the same world and rules, but the scenarios and vibes are just a little spooky - I saw it described as cozy dread. :haha: I'm going to switch to that one in October, I think. :ghost:

Have a good one, Bees!
