Where do I go from here??

@SevenDeadlyExes I love the fact you tackled it. Of all the workouts and programs we have in place combat-based ones are always the most challenging. Our guide here explains why. Anything that engages us at more than one level is energetically harder by definition and, at the same time, more...

    Goal + Action = Reality

To add a little scientific context to @TopNotch's words. When we read, either fiction or non-fiction but especially fiction our brain is busy running "what-if" scenarios that help it better understand the world. It's like running simulations where we play-act situations and imagine our actions...

AMA April 2024 - Training, Diet And Aging: How To Make It All Work For You

Ah, @graoumia this is something I've long considered in relation to my own science training. Aging is a physical process of degradation so, truly it is a thermodynamic process governed, like every other thermodynamic process in the universe, by entropy. This basically means that leaving our body...

    Push-up variation for abs

Yes and no and ... it depends. I am sorry, this is less than clear. So, first "yes and no" the same muscles are mostly recruited but the joint angle changes which means the force being applied is different and that affects the result. IF you can almost do it, yes it will work but if you...

    Push-up variation for abs

No, that changes the dynamic of the forces applied. Thanks to your question we put a video together just today on how to best train for this so it should go up on YouTube on Sunday, I think, and I will also post it here for you then to help you out.

    Push-up variation for abs

Well, by far the easiest way to improve is to do normal push ups at less than half speed, as slow as possible actually. That recruits exactly the muscle groups you need to be able to then perform an extended push up. I hope this helps.

AMA April 2024 - Training, Diet And Aging: How To Make It All Work For You

@Lady Celerity this is such an excellent question! To better answer it I will fill-in the framework around it. As we age one of the most marked changes in our bodies that often goes unseen until it is almost too late is bone mass loss. The National Council on Aging states on its website: "Our...
