I love that I'm not only able to get a morning workout in, but also keep in right around 30 minutes - and that I can do it quietly in the room next to where the little one is sleeping! I think that's a triple dad-win!
Between my run and walking the dog this morning, I've hit the two-thirds mark on my LOTR running app. I have reached the Argonath on my journey through Middle-Earth!
Ran/walked a 5K in 36:47, did it on a treadmill so I was able to keep track more easily as I went. I'm looking at a race on July 4, should be able to finish up this program before then and keep working towards that first 5K soon!
Also tallied 34.5 more miles in June, for a total this year of 245.5 miles in 2024!
At the halfway point in the year, it's worth checking in on my New Year's resolutions. I wanted to get down to 200 lbs and run my first competitive 5K. I'm consistently down to about 206.5 in my first six months of keeping that weight off, and I just signed up for the 5K on October 13. Hoping to lose those last few pounds (and keep them off) and prep for that race!
