AM- awake at 6:45am (PST) to partial clouds, 30 (F)degrees, feels like 25. Canoe’s tummy seemed fine, but he was up in the night for some ear problem. He couldn’t stop shaking his head and digging at his right ear🥺Husb looked in it with his otoscope but only saw some dried blood on a scrape. So we gave him some extra CBD and told him to leave it alone. He went back to sleep, yay. Seems less problematic this morning🥳

AM- we made the mistake of giving Canoe some bones from the leg of lamb we had for dinner. He ate them super fast without much chewing. This is not his usual. Consequently, he was barfing them up in the wee hours, waking us both up. Poor baby….

AM- awakened twice in the night by Canoe who *apparently* needed to go outside. However, he prolly would have just gone back to bed. Husb forgets to just pet him and have him go to his bed or come up on ours. It was SO bloody cold in the night, Canoe may not have been warm enough in his own bed….
This morning it is clear, breezy, 2(F) degrees feels like -21😱🥶😵‍💫🤯. Will be spending most of Canoe’s activity time in short outside bursts, today so he and I don’t get frostbite.

After letting him outside and cleaning up the rug, getting back to sleep took me well over an hour. Woke up for the day shortly after 6am (PST), as husb is prepping to make the 5+ hour drive to his mom’s this morning.

AM- awakened at 5:15 by Canoe complaining of being cold. So, up onto the bed he came to snuggle/spoon between us. As much as a 95+ lb dog monster with nail-tipped baseball bats for arms can snuggle🫣🤪🤣. I gave up and got up for the day a little after 5:30am (PST). Outside is raining, 37 (F)degrees feels like 32. Sheesh, the ground is SO saturated, it feels like a mud bog…

As a classic, it is well worth the time to read. It is one of the books I always thought I “could never read, cuz it was a book my mom read. That was for grown ups!”

I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on The Body Keeps the Score; it has been on my radar.
Well, my provider recommended it way back when all my family members were dying month after month, and I was having physical symptoms in response. I can tell you that every time I pick it up there are more enlightenment and aha moments that assure me that I AM sane, just damaged and need to acknowledge myself and all my body connections to my psyche. He confirms the benefits of yoga on traumatized psyches as well which is huge. It’s definitely worth reading.
