I have a black belt test in a couple of months and I need to be more consistent with working out if I’m going to survive. My workouts may include non-darebee related activities like running, Zumba, Pound, and my schools kickboxing classes, so if I don’t finish my current program within 60(?) days, that’s why.

Hero's Journey, day 3

I chose the ribbon as my weapon. I did not exactly do the "100 of three different types of kicks" challenge, but I did go to my dojo's kickboxing/fitness class where I certainly did MUCH more than 300 kicks of different types. I hurt now.

"Gil-galad was an Elven-king, Of him the harpers sadly sing
The last whose realm was fair and free between the mountains and the Sea
His sword was long, his lance was keen, his shining helm afar was seen
The countless stars of heaven's field were mirrored in his silver shield
But Long ago he rode away and where he dwelleth none can say
For into darkness fell his star in Mordor where the shadows are"

No Hero's Journey today. Too sore after day 3 kickboxing yesterday and Zumba/Pound tonight.

"Now quicker the fiddle went deedle-dum-diddle;
the dog began to roar,
The cow and the horses stood on their heads;
The guests all bounded from their beds
and danced upon the floor."

Today: Hero's Journey, Day 5--A Journey Through the Woods + Zumba Sentao

...My legs are going to sore tomorrow

"Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by!"

I was right, my legs are sore. Strayed again from Hero's Journey, but not in vain!

Today: Kickboxing 45 min. + Karate training 1 hour (forms and weapons)

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king"

Friday: Zumba/Pound 45 min
Saturday: Karate + weapons (Tonfa) 2 hours
Sunday: Rest
Today: Hero's Journey day 6, Blocked Path (weapons practice, ribbon)

My "side kicks" kept turning into side blade kicks cause I'm not flexible that way, but ok :oops:

"Cold be hand and heart and bone, and cold be sleep under stone:
never more to wake on stony bed ,never, till the Sun fails and the Moon is dead.
In the black wind the stars shall die, and still on gold here let them lie,
till the dark lord lifts his handover dead sea and withered land"

Tuesday: No fitness, felt lazy :scroll:
Wednesday: Hero's Journey day 7, The Oracle---only level 1, the constant up and down made me queasy

"Where now are the Dúnedain, Elessar, Elessar? Why do thy kinsfolk wander afar?
Near is the hour when the Lost should come forth, And the Grey Company ride from the North.
But dark is the path appointed for thee: The Dead watch the road that leads to the Sea"

"The winds of wrath came driving him, and blindly in the foam he fled
from west to east and errandless, unheralded he homeward sped.

"...Through Evernight he back was borne, on black and roaring waves that ran
o'er leagues unlit and foundered shores, that drowned before the Days began,
until he heard on strands of pearl, where ends the world the music long,
where ever-foaming billows roll, the yellow gold and jewels wan."

Monday: Hero's Journey day 15 There'll Be Dragons; 10 rounds!!! :kungfu:

Total points: 3150

I wanted to stop at 5 rounds, but then the "right" song started playing and re-motivated me. The mind often gives out long before the body.

"The bells were ringing in the dale, And men they looked up with faces pale;
The dragon’s ire more fierce than fire, Laid low their towers and houses frail."
