Thank you thank you thank you thank you x100000000000000000000000000000000000000 to everyone who wished me happy birthday and thank you for the gifts!!! They were all perfect <333333333333

Streak is still going strong, but I need to update my log and catch up on everyone elses! Adjusting to the work schedule has been difficult. I've managed to keep up with working out, but I'm now VERY behind on darebee logs!!! I'm excited to catch up, finish my gift for my secret santa, and keep working out. :D

Thank you again to all the Bees who popped over here for my birthday.

Streak Day 169

The last few days I have been spamming pushups of all types for the dragon crystal ornament. I have also been keeping up with knee rehab, and yoga, and stretching. Everything else I am behind on. I had a cold/sinus issues all last week (a gift from my coworkers). I finally felt better Friday evening.

Yesterday my partner and I went to Atlanta to see John Mulaney at the Fox theater. He had surprised me with tickets for my birthday. We were three rows from the front. It was incredible!!

We were a little too adventurous before the show and walked where we probably shouldn't have and got yelled at/chased/almost hit by some people. I hope they're doing alright, the situation with unhoused and unwell people in big cities is devastating. I wish there was more I could do to help. I'm a cheerful golden retriever of a person in public and tend to smile and say hi to anyone I walk past which is apparently NOT what to do in Atlanta 🥲 I didn't mean to set those people off, as I'm sure their lives are hard enough.

One lady pretty much followed us all the way back to the theater screaming that we better not play with her, and random obscenities. It was kind of unnerving, but I mostly just felt bad that she was in such a situation that had her so destabilized.

We'll be back in Atlanta next weekend for a huge Anime convention. I don't think we'll be wandering far from the convention center, at least not on foot 😅

Anime Weekend Atlanta was amazing!!!!! On our way home, we purchased tickets to Momocon, also in Atlanta, in May. I think you could say we had a good time, haha.

We went really easy and basic with the cosplays. It was both of our first cons in over TWELVE years!!! In highschool I went to multiple a year and always cosplayed but haven't had the time/money to do so. It's nice to be able to get back into it.

Anyway, we did some basic Charlie and Pim from Smiling Friends outfits. Some people went all out with the face paint etc but we just did the outfits. I was Pim (the little one) and he was charlie. Despite us only doing the outfits, people still recognized us a lot and asked for some pictures, and someone asked my partner if he could be in a tiktok video really quick. That was fun :P we're not big social media people and he doesn't use tiktok at all, but I think it'll be fun to find the video if the person ever posts it.

It was fun to see everyone elses cosplays and we're going to try to do something a little more intriciate for our next con. No idea what yet.... but something.

Streak Day 176 by the way

still chugging along on knee rehab. I definitely need to keep it up. It started really bothering me at the con yesterday. Ugh. In a few days my health insurance will kick in and I'm gonna try to see a physical therapist.

Adventurer's Log: ⚔️LEVEL 16 [Max Level is 60]
I'm sitting in an Inn going through a stack of mail sent to me by the envoys of the two factions that I am currently trying to gain honor status with: Carido and Strength. The strength envoy sends me... a lot of mail. Most of it is taunting me. The cardio envoy is definitely more pleasant. He mostly sends encouraging 'you can do it!' types of letters. I finish my mead, take a deep breath, and stand to leave. My progress has stagnated again, mostly because of the extremely time-consuming new job I've taken up. But even adventurers need to pay bills. On my way out of the Inn I see a flyer that catches my eye -- it's an open call for those who want to take the challenge of joining the Valkyries at the nearest House of The Valkyrie. This is just the thing I need to help prove myself to the envoys. I head there right away.

I step in at the bottom of a huge building. The ceilings are impossibly high and there are Valkyrie all the way up. They're looking down at me.

I complete my first task. Since they don't throw me out immediatley I assume I passed my first day. An extremely buff and powerful looking Valkyrie silently shows me to a place that I assume I'll be able to stay whille I'm completing my trial. Next to my room I notice an Arcade. After getting settled in my room I head right over. There are a few games, and all of them look to be... physical. I pick one that has me jumping side to side to avoid different objects that appear out of the ground. I gain enough points to pass the first level and then head back to my room.

Summary:
House of The Valkyrie: Day 1 / 60 [Level 1]
Arcade Challenge: Day 1 / 30

Streak Day 185

Hello, Bees! My daily activities have been pretty minimal. I do just barely enough to feel good about keeping my streak. The new challenge and one of the new programs look extremely fun so I'm going to attempt them!! My partner and I do still go to the gym together so I'll likely only be doing them on the days when we don't go. Time is super limited these days so trying to do both, like I used to, will be challenging. I'm really missing the days where I could spend more time doing a ton of challenges and programs! Since the quest log is going to be so sparse I've decided to start more of an adventurer's log for the time being.

I'm also finally losing weight again. I'm tracking my eating and progress over on my log in The Kitchen, Feeding a Lizard.

I'm feeling a little more settled in my work schedule so hopefully I can work out more now. The first month I pretty much crashed the moment I walked in the door and slept until I barely had enough time to get ready and drive to work.

Hope you're all well, Bees! Hopefully see you tomorrow :D

Got a fever yesterday while at work. I was one of the only people in the office so I just took tylenol and toughed out the last three or so hours. Still feeling crummy today.

But before that all happened, I sampled some Secret Santa gifts!!! I did the gifts for Wolfdreamer, NancyTree, f1shie, Laura Rainbow Dragon (gave myself the treat since I have no Shelby), and Wloke20! An empty office and nothing to do was great for this :)

I'm almost maybe feeling better. Still lots of shortness of breath and fatigue. still lots of sinus issues. But better than the previous days. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back at work and then hopefully I'll be back to working out shortly after that.

I'm eager to get back to it. I've been daydreaming about working out. Is that weird? I hope not

I really wanted to go to work today but while I was getting ready I felt extremely bad and thought maybe I should stay home again. I napped for a long time and now I feel much better. Tomorrow I swear I'm gonna be back. If work goes well tomorrow, then I'll go back to my workouts, too. For now though I'm sticking with the recovery program.

OH, also, this job has allowed me to get my sh*t together enough to be able to start taking classes again! I had to take a few semesters off for financial reasons and I've just registered for two classes starting next Monday. It's going to be really... interesting... fitting in classes, work, and working out, but I'm excited. After this semester, I'll have just 5 credits left until I complete my degree.

Once I finish this one I'm looking at starting another program... I think I'm going to be a student for life. Taking classes is one of my favorite things. Excited to be back to it, even though it's going to a bit of a struggle getting into the groove of things on top of work.

I was daydreaming about working out when I was sick too! Not weird at all, Darebee makes exercise so much fun.

Depends what you're doing and how interactive/hands-on the next course is but if it's a more theory-based course there's probably a uni that's put their course up for free online? You've probably already thought of that so disregard if so, but if you don't need the qualification and are just doing it for the love of learning you could probably save a bit of money that way!
