Brrrrrrrr! It was a nice sunny day, and we wanted to do stuff on the roof in the afternoon, but as we started, the crane failed, so instead we spent 3 hours trying to fix it - my husband testing every cable (and there are a LOT), me handing him this or that screwdriver. And standing around for 3 hours in early March, no matter how sunny, will freeze your tail off. Brrrr!

Today was sunny and warm! We went onto the roof, removed two rows of tiles to uncover the beam that needed to be aligned, brought up the boards construction we built on Thursday to make the alignment easier, and then saw that actually the beam does not need to be aligned and it's straight already. So we put everything back... My back hurts! Then we said ok we're done for today as my husband was not feeling 100% after the cold yesterday, and instead spent another 6 hours gardening and sorting things. Who remembers Sokoban? That's what we do all the time. Then we measured and counted the painted boards and realized that sh**, we need another 50 square meters of these, which means planing them and painting them... I don't want to!!!! It took me 2 summers to paint 50 square meters, and we need to have these first before we do anything else on the roof! Gaaaahhh.

But I started the lettuces, let's see if I manage to grow them this time.

Yesterday evening we played the game of "let's watch something!" - load the options, spend an hour scrolling undecided, and then say "ok now it's too late to start watching anything, next time" and go to bed.

Today was super relax, nothing done other than a wash and small cleaning things. Tonight dinner with friends!

A good day! We had a team strategy kick off / annual strategy review, with a nice lunch together and then team pictures. So not a lot of work done but it was nice

Meh, sore throat and runny nose, just what my husband had over the weekend. I guess all the fruit and vegetables and kombucha are not as much of a defense as I thought!

A quiet day. It rained, finally! Ofc it had to do so at 4:30, once I logged off work and wanted to go for a walk, but at least the garden is happy. The apricot tree bloomed! There were lots of bees!

Today I painted the boards, I'd say it's more than 50% of them. I put on loud music and it went more easily than I remembered!
Then we did a bunch of other things which were not on the to do list but needed doing anyways.

Spring!! It was a glorious day! So I was not unhappy that my husband didn't feel like bricklaying and instead I got to spend the day reading on the terrace. In the afternoon we went to pick up some more boards for the roof, and now I made cashew cheese.
I wanted to sew a skirt but for the model I wanted I don't have enough fabric and I'm not getting inspired by other models. Maybe I'll invent a dress instead.

Today I painted the second layer of the boards, halfway there!
And my husband changed the filter of the dishwasher but a piece is broken and the replacement will need a few days to arrive so... No dishwasher. Ah well.

Glad to see other book-enthusiastic Bees!
The books have been gathered. The shop has these rather large baskets to put your books in while browsing, and they are very dangerous: usually I would only buy the pile I could carry, but with the basket I could carry so much more... The sales lady was asking what I do that I can read so much, but I told her, I only come to the bookstore once a quarter or so, it's not a fast reading, it's a long reading.

The day was beautiful and I had a lovely date in the afternoon :happy:

Yesterday I finished painting the boards!! Yay! And then we drove to Italy. In the rain and traffic, but we had pizza on the way.
Today my husband worked with my dad on the battery for the solar panels on my dad's boat, then we went buy wine and oil. Now relax before we go for an aperitif and dinner. Still raining though.

A good day! In the morning I watched my nieces and nephew while my sister was at the dentist. It went well, even when the oldest (6) asked me if I like children and I said sure, in the oven with a few potatoes :D
In the afternoon we went climbing, my shoes hurt a lot because I stupidly took the new ones instead of the comfy old ones, but it was fun.
Then aperitif and pizza with friends.
