The DOMS was horrible today…

Morning
-- 10 km run | Recently I bought new soft flasks for my hydration vest, and I went to try them out... but of course the straws were faaaar too long, and they kept hitting my chin. Not at all comfortable. 😅 I was a bit annoyed, because while I should theoratically be able to cut them to size with scissors, I couldn't figure out how to disassemble the straws. Since then I've learned that I have to put them in hot water for the plastic to soften and become removable, but this will be a task for another day.

Midday
-- Day 2 of 60 Days of HIIT | lowerbody HIIT | lvl I

Late evening
-- @Laura Rainbow Dragon ‘s gift to my abs
-- @Anek ‘s gift to my quads and calf
-- @Syrius ‘s gift to my brain that can never get enough practice at controlling my body

Wow, that was unexpected! I love this new gift-giving function!

Thank you, @Lady Celerity , @MadamMeow , @Mamatigerj !
I didn't do anything special on my actual birthday, apart from replying to birthday greetings. But it was a nice and calm day.

And thank you, too, @Quarkmage ! I was a bit anxious about whether you will like the story/workout or not. Pacing around when writing it, and trying the exercises to see if they fit could almost have been counted as a workout on their own.

Great to meet you in the Hive. I loved the story and the transporting effect of the snow globe was incredible.
Nice biking! I love riding. I had the great fortune to visit Budapest in 2010. Went to the grand prix and got to visit some baths, and lots of walking around the city.
I hope to visit again some day. Thanks again for the inventive story and fun workout. i will keep doing it!

Thanks, @Quarkmage !
I only rarely use my bike as anything else than a means of transportation. I've recently moved to a new place that's quite a bit farther from the city centre than our previous flat, so the mileage should begin to accumulate soon…

Hi all and a very belated thank you for all the birthday wishes!

2024 was a busy year. Among other things, I got a new job, I had my honeymoon and got married (in that order), and I ran my second marathon (with a worse time than the first one). I'm also still doing Darebee workouts, programs and challenges, but without much structure. I'm still reasonably fit though, so there's nothing to complain about. :yas:
It's too late to write a novel, so I'll just leave here some of my favourite pictures of our honeymoon in Japan <3

Taken during our first hike in Japan, at Kamakura

Near the Kurama-dera temple, to the north of Kyoto.

View of Kyoto from the Kiyomizu-dera temple. We were lucky enough to be there when visitors were welcome at night, too!

The Kuya Falls. This was my favourite hike, I think.

The Himeji Castle. It wasn't worth standing in line and suffering the immense crowd to get inside, but it really is stunning from outside.
