I don't like sparring very much, it's not in my character but in Muay Thai we are doing it in a quiet way the last 10 minutes but I definitely have to improve my guard :p
It makes me genuinely smile that i discovered i am quietly ambidextrous in guard, I change it smoothly to my opponents' great bewilderment :LOL:

Today was definitely not a day to push gym workout, so I took it easy and did some honest maintenance work :)
The gym was deserted, from mid-workout on I was alone, I noticed that Friday morning is one of the least crowded days ever.

The push-ups and squats challenge is going well in fact I'm planning to take it up a notch next month and do two:
50 Push-Ups a Day Challenge
50 Squats a Day Challenge
that work in the same way but every day and with a higher total number of repetitions :)
In the end, the basic exercises are the ones that work best :LOL:

My partner pointed out to me that training is tiring me a lot and obviously she's right.
Muay Thai has become an increasingly demanding training in terms of fatigue so I have to slow down the rest of the training a bit, basically since September in the gym every week I either increased the weights or the reps or both :p
So the next short term goal is to find a way to train well but also fully recover from one challenging workout to the next.
However I wasn't the only one in Muay Thai to be pretty tired and indeed in the athletic preparation part I gave a show on abs and push-ups :LOL:

Then it's decided :LOL:
It has and it turns out that due to the world cup, deliveries are extended until 3am. Now I just need to do crazy amount of combat hiit for the rest of the week... yay motivation

I guess that's the point of any good educational program? That at some point you outgrow it and find your own way? As long as one remembers it fondly and can still recommend it to others I guess that is the best compliment anyone can give to an educator. At least that is how I see it. :)
