It was a nice day today.

I have a week vacation coming up next week so luckily I was able to start these customer reports I do every month today so I can hopefully have those all done by Friday.

This morning was annoying, the computer was not sending pdfs to the email. Usually when it gets held up, IT fixes it and they all come through. So I sent myself a bunch of weekly reports I make pretty with excel that I would finish once I got them in the email. That never happened, so I had to spend another 20 minutes redoing that part over plus I looked like I almost forgot to do it.

But no one actually said anything about that, so it probably didn't matter anyway.




Morning:

  • Bloom WotD (1set) - I do my workout before I put my make up for work on, but since this was yoga and I am not in need of active recovery after the weekend off, I pushed this to after I put on my make-up and did a bonus workout in it's place. I was scared I might not have enough time since this was a 9 minute one. Luckily I had plenty of time. The last two I had to put my hand down on a cat tree a few times, but I did my best to avoid that.
  • 7am Jog to 300 before I leave for work.
  • Bonus Workout (3sets) - Did the Orion workout with @neilarey. I have 5 Lb. weights. 6 months ago they were too heavy for me to do much with and I wished I had 2 Lb. ones. Today I was able to do the exercises and I didn't struggle. I think all of those push-ups & planks the past few months really helped me gain some strength!




Lunch:
  • Jog to 300 x2 + Bonus pacing just because I had energy.

Bonus Workout (3sets) - Did the Orion workout with @neilarey. I have 5 Lb. weights. 6 months ago they were too heavy for me to do much with and I wished I had 2 Lb. ones. Today I was able to do the exercises and I didn't struggle. I think all of those push-ups & planks the past few months really helped me gain some strength!
That's always good when you realize you do progress! So cool!

It was a nice day today. Even in spite of a few challenges.

Was doing my morning internet updating which I always do before my workout.

Not too far in my laptop died.

I have been doing what I do for over 13 years. Normally this would have made me freak out, but I'm using it to take a break.

I know I am lucky I can afford a new one so I'll just take a week or so and enjoy the time off screen. I can only do so much with my phone and I'll just do that.

Unfortunately that's the same for here. It will be hard for me to keep up on every log like I like to do, but the week will fly by anyway.

Then I realized I forgot to do my dishes so I had to start them with my workout instead of before.

Not ideal, but it worked out. Do a circuit, go wash some dishes. They got done and I was only a few minutes late into my make-up time. Lol

Then Mister Miyagi didn't come back inside before work and it is a little bit cold.

He kept triggering my outside house cameras. I took lunch at 9:30 to save him and he wasn't around.

Went back and still had a half hour. Saw him around
11:30 and this time I saved him and made it back in time.

I have most of my reports done, so should not follow me into next week.

So yeah, I'll still be happy with today.

Thank you @Laura Rainbow Dragon! Not long ago at all, I would have been flipping out.

I have been actively trying to be more positive and it's helping me be happier overall.

Through the day lots of stuff will annoy me, but I also realize a lot of that is petty so then I try to be thankful I can say that.

@PetiteSheWolf, he did it again today, but it was warmer. He didn't come back til after I got home from work.

My husband gets home before me and he didn't come for him either.

He's very over tired. Hopefully he learns his lesson...

Thank you too, @Anek! Definitely annoying, but really am enjoying a little less screen time. I almost feel guilty! Lol

It was a nice day today.

I finished the reports I wanted to, bit now I need to hopefully finish the 100+ emails to the customers.

I'm pretty efficient with my system, so should be no problem. Just hoping other people let me concentrate. Lol

Then one of my favorite people remembered something about me. That was unexpected and really cool.

I used to do this all the time during BodyFlow workouts! The prone-lying work is always in the 7th track. Always. And yet I would get thirsty and drink at the end of the 6th track. It does not feel great to do that!

Went out and got a laptop today. After this, need to finish setting things up. At least once that is done it will be good going forward.

But I really like it and very glad not to be updating from the phone today. When you can type, it's hard to do it by text type of typing lol.

Thank you SO much for the birthday wishes! This really makes my day today! :lovely:

Saturday was so nice. Went to the casino and had a good time. I won a couple hundred dollars on slots so left a winner!

Had a nice dinner and I got really drunk. I don't drink often, so two margaritas is a lot for me. Helped me nap on the ride home, lol.

Luckily my husband doesn't mind being the designated driver so I could do that. :ss:

Oh and the day before my birthday, the 9th, I had Mister Miyagi cuddling against my let and purring for a few hours. I consider that his present. :heart::imp:



I am off from work next week. Looking forward to doing that birthday workout (thanks @Sólveig!) and also try to do the presents which I know I do not have to do, but would like to.

Today was a good day.

I did a little work, but all on my own terms so future me thanks me and I got to help a customer out.

Other than that, I was able to get all 9 hours active today. Was really happy about that.

Got some chores done and my husband bought me flowers for Valentine's Day! Very unexpected, I don't always get anything for this.

I almost didn't go to answer the door, but glad I did! :lovely:

I got a little box of Dove Chocolate Hearts and my Valentine's Day card today. My hubby thought it was tomorrow, lol. Not going to complain, but also not having any of those chocolates until Saturday. :lovely:


Today was a good day.

It snowed a few inches tonight through today. I didn't do a bonus workout knowing I would have to shovel.

And one of my neighbors parked in front of my house so the plow did not come up to the driveway and I had to shovel the street.

And it was super heavy wet slushy snow.

Was not happy about that, but I file that under petty problems so I'm trying not to let it bother me. I think of my dad who calls the police on people parking halfway on their own lawn. He looked up that there is an ordinance against that. It's worked many times, but they are tired of him. My dad is a lawn nut/plant person, has a beautiful backyard he cares for himself, but this day in age, you need to mind your own business!

I do not want to be that person! lol

2/14/2024:

Today was a good day.

I actually got a few things done that I've been meaning to for awhile. I am getting my taxes done this weekend so I dug and found all of my charity contribution receipts.

Then I FINALLY cleaned out my closet. Only got rid of one thing, but everything is organized now and I can't wait to start mixing closet outfits into the mix.

Now I just have to do the same in my living room closet where I have my coats and my daily cardigans/over sweaters. Work is forever freezing, winter or summer. lol

Mister Miyagi was a sweetheart all day. No cuddles, but he asks me to play mouse with him in the kitchen. Did that for a half hour.

Going to be hard next week when he wants to do that and I won't have time like that if I have to leave for work...

Today was a good day.

I went grocery shopping which I have not done in a few years. My husband does it since he gets out of work a few hours before me and then he doesn't have to wait longer for dinner. He's really good, I make the list around what I'm going to cook and he'll video call me if he is unsure on something.

I do not miss doing this, crazy how they moved all the aisles around, but it also is always nice to check out what's new.

Today was a good day.

I did everything I wanted to, so can't complain with that.

Sad my week went so fast, but I have one more day off on Monday so that's not bad. The office work part of my day took longer than I wanted it to, but future me thanks me not having to play catch up. I'll enjoy the weekend much more.

Tomorrow my husband and I are going to get are yearly income taxes done. I always do it around my birthday, so it's tradition.

We usually get back money, but I might have to pay this year. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Today was a good day.
Last day off for President's Day. I turn back into a pumpkin and go to work again tomorrow. :happy:

My husband was off as well. We had a nice time together and I got everything I wanted to done so tomorrow should not be too bad.

Except for not being around for Mister Miyagi. We were both spoiled and he'll have to time himself to our schedules again.

Today was a good day.

Work went well since I kept myself caught up on my daily stuff through the week.

And thanks to cleanout out my closet, I finally wore a sweater dress I bought three years ago and didn't quite like how I looked in it then. I didn't try it on in the store, it was soft and I figured I would make it work. Got a decorative waist belt to try to help and now I look fine in the dress, but the belt is too big for me. It still works just can't tie it as tight as I want to the way it is made.

Very happy to have that problem!

We had a meeting today regarding new ERP software they are building for our company. A lot of annoying work regarding things I do not care at all about ahead. Hoping I can knock it out easily without my heart really being in it.

Today was a good day.

Still cold, but starting to get slightly warmer. Miyagi didn't come back inside before work, or for my lunch, but it was warm enough I didn't have to worry.

He's doing well and is in bed with my husband. He takes my spot. Now if he would just stay when I come too, lol.

Other than that, been missing certain people a lot lately, but doing better than other years. February is a big birthday month for people past in my life. And others who still around at least I know are doing alright so I try to be happy for them.
